Lets not forget Amazon have had this approach for years now and it hasn't made an iota of difference to them in the public eye.

My advice? Fight your own case if you feel it's justified. Don't hold your breath waiting for the online posse because it ain't coming.

I wouldn't say these people who had their funds were crooks. If they were crooks, the funds would be reversed already. Legit services that simply were in breach of their AUP according to PayPal.

With Amazon, they usually settle the issues pre arbitration. It's rare for sellers to have to take Amazon to arbitration. This is coming straight from Rosenbaum Famularo, P.C. who handles Amazon cases including our small issue in the past that was fixed and we're actively using Amazon today.

That's 3 accounts reported now that Paypal took $200k-$300k each one. No doubt PayPal has taken millions of dollars at this point.

Another one !?

Why why why why why are you leaving so much money in these accounts !? Paypal are not a bank.

Banks can freeze your funds as well and close down. Yes they're heavily regulated but people put too much trust into PayPal including myself.

No doubt but in the US information is forwarded to the IRS so you're supposed to declare it. I have essentially already paid tax on this funds paypal took and now have to mark it as a deduction from income on these 2019 returns. Rule obviously doesn't apply for all countries so outside the US different situation.

In this situation these are AUP violations, not tax related seizures.

It's only been 2 to 4 weeks....

Furthermore, clearly stated in this thread we're waiting for paypal response back on those demand letters before we proceed with anything.

I can't speak for others. As far as I know, others have done nothing. Only Ashley and another have filed demand letters to PayPal. That's the only progress so far. Personally don't expect any resolution to this, being positive or negative until well into 2020, possibly even 2021.

Lol, calling someone a tosser is equivalent to throwing a sandal at at someone. I love original insults like this

Would be happy to schedule a meeting with PayPal in person. I tried to do that when the accounts were limited and spoke to what appeared to be a senior or manager in the limitations department. She however said there is no option for us to meet in person.

As for just showing up to their HQ, which HQ would that be? NE or CA? How do I know I can get anything accomplished showing up there or would I just be wasting my time and escorted off their facilities?

If you know of anyway I can actually do this, I would gladly but simple google search on that and I haven't found anyone that ever actually met with PayPal in person. I maybe wrong and if I am, share some details on this.

If a demand letter is all we need to do then great. I don't expect it to be that easy though.
