You are a bigger ASSHOLE !
I do what I please, none of your business,I dont see your name on my paycheck!
You did stupid things, get yourself in a DOO-DAH situation,go buy some wipes and wipe your ass,if yu still have a few pennies left

which African country?

you have to violate Paypal AUP to lose your money, the list is a mile long.
$2500 per violation

I am not saying you violate AUP,I am just saying this is what happens if some one did,it is $2500 per violation and if you search this forum and AMZN forum, some have.
and my post is meant for Yoshi, not you

OP said he used an African Paypal account, not Nigerian account.
What African country did he open this account?
Paypal refunded your buyer ,but there is still money in your account after 180 days ,then AUP applies to whatever is left in your account!

You have to read PAYPAL AUP UK,the list is long and one violation which caught my eyes is any item/service prohibited by local goverment,so something could be fine with one country but not so by your country.
what did yu sell?

If you have contact info for your customers, find out if PayPal refunded them. If they didn't then they have no excuse for keeping the money from you. If they kept the profit off your labor, you could also go to your labor board in your state or country and explain you worked for free, they profited and did not refund anyone and kept the fruit of your labor.

-----------
Paypal will not refund your customers unless they file disputes.
This is what AUP is all about,if your customers file disputes, they have the money to refund.

then may be a class action suit ,since many have their money tied up due to AUP.
I know one can appeal to MC/VISA but we who use Paypal do not have a merchant account,it is Paypal which does.
Question-some who violate Paypal AUP are doing something shady like selling arms/narcotics,pyramid schemes, would they win ?

I have seen a few cases from UK.
They send you an email saying 180 days then it will release your fund, then 180 days later, they said you violate AUP,so no money for you.
Who decides after 180 days, the bot or a real human,as the list is so long, the reason I ask is possible appeal?
some one here from UK said he sold pills which improve your libedo(not libido) like viagra and get suspended and possibly AUP violation, did they ban him because of keyword Viagra,?he is not selling viagra?

IF IT IS A VIOLATION,IT would be Ebay and AMZN not Paypal.
It is not on the AUP list, unless it is counterfeit

Rule of thumb: NEVER LEAVE LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY ON PAYPAL!
----------------
Those who leave large sum of money in their Paypal account have reasons to do so,it is not that simple.

People leave money in their Paypal account for various reasons-they dont have a bank account, they dont have a bank account but they do have a prepaid debit card they can move money from Paypal to that card and vice versa, they want to hide money from their spouse, they want to hide money from creditors ,they may have a bank account with negative balance, they want to hide money for tax reasons.
Once a Chinese managed to accumulated $80K in his paypal account to buy a condo in Malta, who would accept Paypal fund for a piece of real estate>
Some creditors can still seize your $$ in your paypal account,eg Uncle SAm /IRS.
Your spouse may not know you have money in the account while going thru a divorce.

clone is not allowed, just as bad as counterfeit

What the hell are you doing on this board anyway?? You bring NOTHING except negativity and put down, no support, no help. You obviously have no life, you waste your time stupidly by putting people down because you hate the world and hate your life. Go jump off a bridge, the world is better off without people like you.

In any event, if you'd cared to read the forum you'd know many posters have already said that BBB are powerless, hence the purpose of this thread.

So i was just trying to help. maybe linking this forum wasnt necessary however I do think the more complaints BBB receives the more pressure on paypal to act. Let's be constructive here people.

OMG!!! That's simply unbeleivable. So sorry for your friend. Keep fighting.

On another subject tell me if I'm being paranoid but I had a business checking account linked to paypal, I'm afraid paypal will start taking money from this account for "damages" so I only keep a small balance. What do you think?

Has anyone contacted PP thru Twitter?

https://twitter.com/AskPayPal?s=09

I don't expect any more resolution than calling them but maybe posting our issues for everyone to see might pressure them to resolve

Re: PayPal's damages caused by Acceptable Use Policy violation

So sorry to hear about y'all's situation. I am in the same boat as you guys with regards to PayPal seizing and basically stealing my money under AUP without any notice. I wasn't selling anything illegal nor doing anything wrong and they stole like 5 grand from me. I was told that my money would be available for withdrawal after 180 days but soon as 180 days are up and I tried to withdraw it, they stole it under AUP.
Hey Messy, which lawyer are you using and can s/he help me as well? I'm in the US though. Please let me know (pm me as I'm not able to pm non-marketplace users). If anyone else can help me get an attorney, pm me. I believe we should fight this. PayPal has got absolutely no right to steal our hard earned money. Thanks!

Re: PayPal's damages caused by Acceptable Use Policy violation

Check out this other thread: https://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-d...iolations.html
I've started the thread for finding a REAL solution to this problem. PayPal can't just steal our hard earned money.
I'm proposing that we all get together and pool our money to hire a great lawyer and then sue PayPal in a class action lawsuit. Please post your comments on the other thread.

The only reason Im doing the letter is because my lawyer is forcing me to do it because its part of the legal process before you take it further. When I met with my lawyer at her head office I was already saying this letter isn't going to work and we need to contact PayPal to form some sort of arbitration setup/meeting or sue them. However she advised me to continue with the letter and give them a response time.

Contacting customer support or contacting the better business bureau isnt going to resolve this. However I do not think anyone's money is lost its just you will have to pursue it legally. I'm willing to go full out on this because it just takes 1 of us to succeed and then they are so ****ed.

I also noticed there is people on Twitter complaining about their money being taken and there is more posts on PayPals community form and new threads being opened up about this issue on other forms.

This might be mean to say but the more people who have their money taken from them. The more of an issue this becomes which means more people talking about it and more people going after them. Im hoping also that it gets so bad to where there forms are flooded with complaints that some government agency steps in or something.

I already said this in a post above about how people have won against Amazon in arbitration. So there is hope.

OMG you guys won't beleive this but this morning I got a message from paypal that my account had been restored, followed by one saying they had credited me for the funds they stole back in january!

We thought you'd like to know that we've added a credit to your PayPal account.
• Credit date: April 24, 2020
• Amount: $2,804.74 USD

Needless to say I am so happy about this. I had filed a complaint with BBB and this is what did it, I also received an email from BBB that Paypal had settled my case:

In their response paypal basically said i had violated their terms etc and they had the right to seize my account for damages blah blah blah we all know the story but that they "consider this matter resolved as we have taken the requested action and restored your Account balance".

My next step was to take them to small claims court in my state, also I had a pending case with Fairshake.com but I guess I won't need to do that anymore. I have yet to see if my account is still limited (can't receive or make payments) but I do not want to use these theives anymore.

So to anyone who has been wronged by these scoundrels, keep fighting! In this age of corporate bullies we the little people need to keep standing up for our rights!

Good luck all! And don't forget to vote in November, our democracy is at stake!
