What is the true advantage of adding a gift card or whatever type of card to your stealth account? why not just add the bank and be done?

The benefits change depending on what you plan on using the account for.
For me as a seller adding a VCC is a must since it serves to lift the monthly withdrawing limit all paypal account have which are set at $500.
It also serves to confirm the address on the account.
