Is it okay on Ebay with someone's ssn but your own EIN/LLC. Can having someone else's SSN/dob/name on ebay cause a problem as long as the 1099k is filed with your own EIN/LLC?

So use a brother/sister/ friend / parent's ssn ,dob name with their permission in stakeholder's section, and in business section use my smLLC, and ein and zero impact come tax time on their ssn?...

I could have sworn to see a thread with the user Gotya108 mentioning how SSN is important for ebay with the 1099k filing they do regardless of there being a smLLC ein on file.

That's if you have a different entity that you won't need SSN. smLLC's require SSN to run the 1099k or individual account type. What is the entity you run your account with. I only have experience...

NO THEY DO NOT.

For single member LLC's which are passthrough entities the 1099 is processed through the SSN. It's why everyone on here has to provide their real SSN in stakeholder info. If you...

Well not this year because after 600 dollar threshold ebay wants full SSN to generate the 1099 with it.

no it will be rported through your SSN still not ein because single member llc's are pass through entities so they want your ssn ran for a 1099k.

Well for corporations etc don't they want some other way to verify owner's (stakeholders) information? I haven't heard of any feasible way to go true stealth even with an entity? Do you have one?

all my smLLC accounts never wanted an ID. They only required real info in stakeholder info which is all mine now, same name, dob, ssn. All different LLC's

No I wouldn't worry about it because Ebay requires your SSN which they'll use first to verify the account. The EIN is just for Tax purposes.

Take the account and change the info slowly over time.

Ask if you can keep the email, and keep the phone on file and registered name and ssn , first start by changing bank. Then months later...

The problem though is who's information do you give under the LLC member info? It still asks for name and SSN of a member.
