a lot of the chinese say that goods will get seized if they send by fedex/dhl/ups

however, I have used EMS twice and I got the packages after some long, long days of waiting (thats why I dont like EMS)

i used ebay to buy a ring... that came from america, however. that was sent by ups and I got that.

TWICE......Thats Nothing, all your Chinese sellers are trying to do is to give your items a better chance of arriving safley, DHL is NO Guarantee but it is a Little Less likely to get a bigger package siezed....that's a FACT

hi,slapped, you are correct,we always try to make the shippment to be more safely. We have did we can do and always thinking about this.EMS do not go inside from usa middle and DHL shipped from hong kong. And provide the documents in need for clear us custom and so on.We even do not care we pay more shipping cost if the goods can be shipp for safely.

but sometimes you will get bad lucky,as you can not control us custom.

but we are happy as we got a lot of expenience for avoid it

I had no idea that anyone used anything other than EMS out of china, but then again I haven't bought anything from there in over a year.

EMS=good for many places but only for small parcel, low value products. No taxes request from custom or very cheaper taxes request.

DHL is Horrible!!!They were seizing me and my friends stuff left and right.I switched to EMS and my packages were never even scanned by JFK customs.Believe it or not my best luck was EMS San Fransisco. My old supplier would rout my packages to go threw San Fransisco and i had no problem with 20+ orders.I lost that supplier about 6 months ago when China had the big crackdown.Im now trying a supplier called Electronics99.His feedback looks good.

Careful there. Six months ago it was much easier to ship EMS through San Fransisco. Now, they have cracked down immensely on shipments coming from China. If your zip code starts with 7,8, or 9 (as mine does) you are bound to get items searched. For me, it is almost guaranteed, no matter what new address I use. I now get all my items shipped through NY.

They don't allow you to change the zip to a NY one anymore , they return it to the sender and sometimes they don't even let it leave china.

This still works in some cases, but it is the luck of the draw. If your packages gets pulled into NY customs and they see that the ZIP is wrong, they DO send it back. But if the package makes it through and hits a USPS sorting center they will still correct it.

The NY thing won't work forever, though.

And these crackdowns come in waves. First SF gets hit. A few months ago it was Chicago. Then Cincinnati. New York could be next. You just never know.

But one thing I DO know is that it is getting tougher to bring stuff in. Smaller packages help. But that can get EXPENSIVE.
