Default DHL Clearance Delay

Hello all, I'm new here, but I've been reading up on DHL and customs and what not. I am based in UK and I have received this from my shipment.
A couple of days ago I received a letter from c3i Europe asking to sign a letter for destruction. I complied and sent it off to them.
Now my seller isn't complying to give me a refund saying I don't have evidence of the parcel being detained by customs, even though I scanned the letter I got from c3i and mailed it to him.
Is he right in saying there isn't sufficient evidence? Here is the DHL log:

pffft, usually a seller getting that type of printout would 'know' there has been a glitch.

'Clearance delay' means the item has NOT been allowed into the country. (& you have been told that...)

A reasonable seller should co-operate with you.

An unreasonable seller may be hoping to get away with not doing anything.

Whilst no importing company is perfect, DHL do not produce logs like that no no reason(s).

You have choices, many & varied.
Value of the goods & method of payment needed for next steps.

What i will advice you to do is,
1. scan the same letter, and send it to the Escrow service, , DH, ALI..
2. Open dispute that the item was not received and include the details as you've posted above.
Try to use the online chat if they have one, if you ordered from china, and incase you did not know...the time difference... for instance, US - CHINA time is... US 12:00 noon is China 12:00 am.

Note, not all US state will match this time zone... my state is used for example.

time difference is not the point, the most important thing is communcation, just try to talk more with your supplier. He will do something for you if he is honest supplier.

I do not think it is good way to import things by DHL to uk.Also UK is pay more attention to take care the security as london 2012 is coming. They do not want any bad things happen during that peroid.

Take a note, the reason i use the time diff...in relation to this topic is that, if the buyer bought the item through a site like DHgate , they do have an instant chat between buyer and suppliers. If this is the case, the buyer will get a better responds and answer from the supplier within a short time since they'll be able to chat and come to s solution much quicker...

Thanks for all your replies guys,

Yeah I have been talking to my seller more and it seems he is cooperating more now, I opened a case with my service and if I still can't get a refund I think I'll escalate it.

My seller said he'll send the scanned letter to the shipping company in China, but will that make any difference at all?

Once your item is seized by customs and declared as counterfeit, unless you can prove without doubt the item is legit and is your trademark, no amount of paperwork will clear it. It's court time if you absolutely think you can win
