wilburnet.....im in the same boat, im thinkin of using DHL next time but will it still get stuck in customs or do DHL packages go through quicker? ive never used DHL before, only EMS.

Hi any help would be appreciated, i have not received one seized letter or anything my parcels are all below look at the dates some are over a month still nothing, all say in progress, are they seized or just waiting to be processed?

it looks like are some are ready to process , meaning they are on way to national hub but i'm not for certain . If time goes by and you still dont receive letter give them a call

DHL will be the safer option i believe until Olympics . EMS is too risky , but most of the sellers only ship DHL in high quantity order as the shipping cost is higher than EMS

cheers mate i am leaving it until the Olympics are finished with lots of penny's lost you see, my packages are 25kg at a time do you think this is too much?

I would say so pal they stopping the one kgs so I think urs will be I'd ask them to send it over so u get bit tax to pay if they marking it low value for size the package gonna look bad:thumb:

im getting mine in 200g parcels no problems with ems just hefty shippin getting 6 at a time

need new plan guys how about sending lets say 100kgs to france then get a transport company to pick it up and drop it off here, any one no the prices for the delivery from france to the uk via a transport company. cutting out customs as teh lorry will just drive on to ferry then hopefully through customs.

Would u senD the parcel to the transport company then how wud it work......u cud go on holiday to northern Ireland get it sent there then from there send it on ....summit like tht wud work

yes same here, let it all carm down then reevaluate things, i think once Olympics finish we all post are results when we order again to see if it as changed hopefully it will. we are all in the same boat so we need to share are info to keep ahead lol

I am sorry to hear you have not yet received your parcel and can understand how frustrating the delay must be for you. I must advise you that your parcel is currently with the UK Border Agency awaiting customs clearance.

As the UKBA are a separate organisation from Parcelforce Worldwide, I must advise we have no control over the length of time they take to process parcels. Due to this, I am sorry I cannot give a definite date when your parcel will clear with UK Border Agency and be released back to Parcelforce Worldwide.

Once your item has cleared Customs, it will be sent on to your local depot within 2 working days of being released by the UKBA.

If no customs charges have been raised on your parcel, delivery will be attempted the first possible working day.

If there are charges raised on your parcel your item will be held at your local depot pending payment of these charges. We will send a letter of notification regarding the charges raised with a 17-digit number required for us to take payment.

Also I got one come through and one ain't the one I got had been opened

I don't see y I ain't got other one yet must be delay or summit f**k knows the one I got was sent last so the backlog bit is questionable

What happens if you don't get them do they or police visit the address????

I had to wait whole week before tracking number came onto EMS site was told there where delays. no its week still there

ive had a ems large parcel say in coventry customs since 3rd july:> all that is showing up on the tracking is that its waiting customs inspection! ive never had parcels take this long in there! seller valued it as 100 usd and the wieght is 24kg, is this usual? its like the tracking hasnt updated at all since the 3rd, rang parcel force but they didnt seem to think there was any delays in customs! my son has also had a ems parcel that is not vero in there for 5 days now saying waiting customs clearence, it does sound like there is a problem there:nono:

i think as loing as you dont get need more information from adresse, your not going to be charged, they charged me, i made some "paypal invoices" sent away and bam got the goods no worries

i can remeber when the olympics was in china years back an i had serious problems gettin the items out of china so im hoping this is all simply an olympics thing and will die down??? what yous think??? they cant keep opening all the packages like its insane!!!!!!???????

think i will take a holiday until after the olympics!!!

Hi I'm a new member here and would appreciate if someone could answer my questions pweazeeeee. I bought 3 items from china, 2 different sellers, neither of them sent it tracked.

Has anyone bought items from China and received item when its not tracked, or does it mostly mysteriously go missing?

I bought a shirt costing £13, it was shipped on the 28th June from South Korea, still not received.

I also bought a item costing £10 which was shipped on the 10th July from China, which i have not received either yet.

I do live in London, so it could possibly be due to the Olympics, but what are other peoples experiences of parcels from China without any tracking.

that's what my tracking said too! i had a email from parcel force then to say customs were holding my parcel and they told me to contact customs but im not bothering to own up to the parcel as its prob more trouble than its worth! my seller is sending mine again in smaller parcels to mates addresses as its in her best interest!!
i think you will find that yours has been siezed too if its. with customs an saying delivered! that's what mine says! think they are checking most parcels cus of the Olympics!! its a bloody bummer!! let us know what happens please.

if its ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff it would be best to leave it! im waiting for a letter from customs but i will just bin it! cus if you admit you prob will be in trouble!

i defo wouldn't contact customs !!! im wondering if they mention seized on the tracking info ?

On top of all, the supplier won't send item again, (seriously !! )
and seems like disapearing now lol (not what was agreed)

Still waiting on tracking info update, its really doing my heading cause i dont know what they are doing back there.

I called parcelforce, they track my parcel and said that customs are just behind at the moment ...

The guy that usually delivers always leave a card as he can't bother coming upstairs this time he came. i was paranoid with all this waiting gosh

but i guess awaiting customs twice means seized for some, for other waiting to be charged and other it was simply in the queue which was my case.

My first parcel from the 3rd i haven't heard anything about!! I've got 3 waiting customs clearence for 3 days now since 29th and 2 delivered to me which arrived in customs 1 day after the other 2!! Hope at least 1 more gets past! Will keep this site updated!:smash:

hey Sue i forgot to mentioned
the 2 last parcels; 1 was slighlty opened , the second was totally opened, they must have checked the content and put some sillo tape on it.

the strange thing is that they released it despite what it contained
but they put a note on it O_o

so now i think people are better order from china after the olympics.

:dance: just to let you know all my parcels turned up yesterday after the last ones been in customs for 4-5 days, i have learnt a lesson now not yo order in such large quantities!! I dint think any of mine were opened, glad we got it all sorted in the:redface: end

i have two parcel sitting waiting for customs clearence one has been sitting there for a week the other 4 days is this just due to the olympics any one know?

That's what some of my tracking was saying i also worried but it all came good in the end! I think mine then changed to national hub and was delivered the next day! They are taking longer in customs! I def thought mine were not gonna get to me! Keep us posted x

I had a parcel come through today with no delays at all. 1.5 days for custom clearance, due for delivery tomorrow.

Hi, need your help. Customs received seller's invoice at 30 usd and now thinking is not a real value of the goods of 100 pcs. They ask for the proof of payment to be provided to them. The question is will they be checking any further the payment proofs I provide... ? I can provide paypal or wu online. Thanks for your answer!

After receiving an invoice customs ask me for proof of payment as they don't believe the value (goods are not something branded or known well, but they are 100 pcs). parcel from China held in customs for a week (PARCELFORCE) please help!!!
 

I`ve ordered this parcel from china via EMS, used their service few times before but never ever had such a long delay with customs.
do not know what to think, could it be that parcel is seized ?!

tryed to phone parcel force several times, but doesnt seem that they know much themselves what is going on. every time person who picks up the phone tells something else. this waiting is driving me mad.

please help guys what should i do now? sorry just new to this forum so dont know much how it works here

Hi, mine is there for a month...
Dont call parcel force, call hmrc choose option importing/waiting for parcel, tell them u are waiting for a parcel which takes too long, ask them to contact ukba customs department and find out what is going on, they will keep you on hold and explain the situation, leave your number and ask ukba customs officer to call u back with the news
