Default Lifting ebay selling limits

Right now ebay has me on a limit of 100 items per month, I would like to lift that limit, I signed up as a business seller, however to request higher selling limits it says I have to call ebay, if I do that can they see the number Im calling from? even if I put 141 in front of the number to hide my number. Can I just message ebay requesting the higher limit? Please tell me your experience and or advise about this, thanks again

Do not use 141

Get a new sim card and register that number on your Ebay account.

When you call have all your info in front of you and have good answers for your business and future business ready.

This is not a difficult operation to complete but it must be treated with care and respect - get it wrong and you are history, get it right and you are good to go

Just add it. Then they are not worried when you call. Let us know how you get on

I always withhold my number when calling. Never been questioned about it.

Plenty of companies and individuals use BT's service to not forward the number.

It will make no difference calling from a mobile number as long as its the one registered to your account.

Lots of people don't use landlines these days.

Even using a number not registered on your account wouldn't be a problem as long as it had not been used with an account before... I have used a landline that was never registered to any account to phone them before and had no problem. I just gave them my account details and away I was.

They can tell if it's a mobile/landline from the number alone (e.g. 079 vs 020) but as has been said it does not matter to them.

they will ask you to run through your business model, your goals and what you hope to progress to

also you will need during the phone call to provide them with your company number, driving licence serial number and a copy of your granparents birth certificates

ha ha only joking

just kiss their ass and tell them you see ebay as a perfect place to start your new business and how much you hope it can help you for many years to come blah blah blah

its not as worrying as you may think

they dont usually ask any personal information, make sure you call them with the pin number which averts any awkward questions

they just want to know what you intend to be doing/selling on ebay

blow smoke up their bottoms and be businesslike and proffesional

i always use the "ebay is a new arm for our existing retail business"

chill dude

I tried lifting limits from 100 via a link on the PayPal account. They needed me to fax or upload picture ID (driving licence or passport) & utility bill. For me bill was no problem, but the picture ID is. Only have a paper licence not in account name & address & no passport. Spoke to them & they said a birth certificate will do (ugh!) plus a copy of a recent letter or coding notice from the tax office.
Tried to sweet talk them but failed.
