AOL 9.0 VR proxy browser Warning

Hi i dont know if anyone still uses this to get a aol proxy or not but i was useing it last night to open a debit card and noticed something strange. I would be in the sign up process and it would just close out and say there was a error and it had to restart so i didnt think anything of it at first untill it happening 3 different times at dif time periods then i knew something was up so i logged in aol again and checked my ip and had aols ip show up then when to sign up for the debit card and boom it restarted like before then i checked my ip then low and behold my real ip address was showing and i was able to complete the process of the debit card then after my real ip was present in aol proxy. So it seems the sites was dectecting the proxy and forced aol to restart showing my real ip address.

I dont know if anyone till uses this for ebay or paypal but if this happens then more then likely after words your real ip will show up. even though i think ebay/pp can see your real ip anyway through aol

Proxy are bad choice, I have used them but are not safe for ebay nor paypal. I use VPN's myself.

AOL was the only safe proxy so far.

aol is SAFE..

BUT your real ip is revealed thru SSL(sites with https://)

On my dial up AOL computer, an old rag with Windows 98 still on, this is the only IP it can be given out. I use it only to answer Ebay emails...should be OK.

yeah i dont use aol proxy for ebay or paypal no more. just for other things

That 9.0 is a little thick so I found the older simple 7.0 version and it works without hassles.

Hercules, that earlier version has given few problems, yeah. One of those if it ain't broke, don't fix it things. Once aol did the upgrade, there started to be troubles.
