| medway30 | 11-08-2009 08:44 AM | No i know the difference, there used to be a way around the 21 day hold by giving a partial refund but this no longer works so was wondering if there was a new way around this but I guess not :(
Thanks anyway |
| lakeman | 11-08-2009 09:02 AM | I know a great way around the 21 day hold. Ship your items fast, input tracking info into Paypal, and wait for your funds to be released. :D |
^^^^^^ So that's how you do it? |
| jbluntz | 12-13-2009 10:58 PM | Also after the items been delivered e-mail them to leave feedback as soon as they leave feedback the hold is released usually within the next few hours. |
| vigilantex69 | 12-26-2009 07:55 PM | Is there ANY way around the 21 day hold at this point? I know the refund thing doesn't work, so is there any other way around it? |
| aking | 12-31-2009 08:16 PM | lol we're still talking about the 21 day hold huh... |

Would like to know too. thanks | PM me too please. |
| medway30 | 03-30-2010 07:26 AM | Anyway around this yet? How much feedback on bay do you need before they stop holding it? |
| Vicvelcro | 05-09-2010 02:11 AM | Test passed. All systems operating within normal parameters. |
| Uncle Billy | 05-24-2010 04:01 PM | Does anyone have any new info on the 21 day hold? |
^^^^^Yes post# 82 Lakeman |
| jbluntz | 05-24-2010 05:53 PM | Here's another way, sell a bunch of cheap junk until you get 20 dsr's then start selling your profit bearing items, it works for me everytime. |
| Uncle Billy | 05-26-2010 05:43 AM | Does ebay look differently on a buyers feeback of 20 vs a sellers feedback of 20 |

Yes,
I once had an account with a Feedback score of 100% of 103 TOTAL Transactions 63 of which were Buying positives for a lot of baseball cards I bought, and the other 30 for baseball cards that I sold.
I got my FIRST Negative and Neutral within 2 weeks of each other bringing my "Overall" score down to 99.1% but got suspended for Seller Non Performance because My "Seller" Feedback rating was below Standard which at the time (6 years ago) was 97%.
The Ebay rep on the Phone also told me that "Neutral" Feedback is also considered "Negative" in Ebay's eyes because "it was not a Positive EXPERIENCE for the Buyer.
That being said, if you are using the feedback for activating the "Buy it Now" option I am Fairly certain that It does not matter if the feedback is from buyers or sellers. |

you mean just hanging out on ebay and surfing the site in a way before listing any items?...and what do you mean "after the 1st if you don't play there (again) you will get another hold for sure"? |
| MtnDew | 06-11-2010 10:45 PM | i just got a new thing on my homescreen of my paypal account...its in red right above my balance...saying important new notice from paypal saying they will hold all my payments for a little while etc...etc...dont remember seeing this b4
when i click the learn more link it takes me to that page of their holds on newer accounts and the such. Am i in trouble or is this normal
I'll check my others but i dont remember seeing this b4 |
| aking | 07-15-2010 12:39 AM | interesting find, probably people already know this. I had an account aging since April, just started selling on it last week, has 0 feedback. I say, what the hell, and list one of my high dollar Vero items. Sells for $250 with no hold!!
Is this because the account is over 4 months old? |
Wait until you try to withdraw and then I guess we can discuss aking =) |
| aking | 07-15-2010 11:02 AM | Well withdrawing isn't really my main concern. It's just the fact that I have no holds.I'm still not planning on selling a whole lot of Vero until I at least get 5-10 feedback. |
Ah ok - nice that it's working for you so far. |
| Axcend | 10-21-2010 09:16 PM | anyone test the hold selling vero used rather than new? |
| Markk | 10-22-2010 06:17 PM | Why does adding a tracking number get the funds released faster?
My funds have only been released after I recieve feedback or 21 days, regardless of tracking info. |
| GreenBean | 10-22-2010 06:38 PM | @Not Markkk, even that has changed for some users. 6 months ago, adding the tracking number helped with the release of funds. However paypal has changed its game and some accounts continue to have olds despite feedback being received & tracking numbers supplied.
I prefer to look at the holds on an account by account basis. Otherwise it's too exhausting trying to predict what paypal will do. bar stewards :pop2: |
I think the tracking to release is getting hurt by folks manipulating it with bogus tracking. Think its being abused. Bad guys always ruin it for us |
| SaiJin | 10-22-2010 08:48 PM | Actually... this is making me angry... But then again... when there's good, there's always the bad people AND stupid! |
| aking | 10-27-2010 04:52 PM | Yea, the holds just slow me down so much. I just to be able to move soooooo much more items without holds, but when you have $1000 pending so have no choice but to slow down. And yes, they are holding funds for the full 21 days! Really sucks. |
It can be a burden some times. If I was 100% sure that I will get it, not so bad. But you get too much held back and you don't really know what will happen to it [IE Limitation] it can put on some pressure.
And the more you sell > the more held > the more stock to buy > more pressure
It can be a vicious circle at times. Great thing about the fall/winter: Great sales. Bad thing about the fall/winter: Way more risk of limits |
| aking | 10-27-2010 06:53 PM | I get a feeling this holiday season sales will be slower than last year. |
| aspkin | 10-27-2010 06:57 PM | UN-STICKY!
I hope not aking.. I predict things to be better then ever this year. |
| aking | 10-27-2010 09:39 PM | Let me correct my statement. Sales will be better than ever, but paypal will definitely slow me down as far as moving money.
Does anyone use Google Checkout these days? I may need to go back to my old process using GCO. |
| cortex | 10-29-2010 05:25 PM | Who was the first to discover this trick? :-) |
| GreenBean | 10-29-2010 06:06 PM | What trick, Cortex? :spy: |
| cortex | 10-29-2010 06:20 PM | the 2-1 DH trick |

Dont worry about it...what trick? |
Not sure. Used to be a couple that would work, but they dont any more. So I thought maybe you had a new one. |
| cortex | 10-29-2010 06:50 PM | Nah theres no new one....but i wondered who was the first to discover this trick in the first place | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:43 AM. | |
