I remembered it because I checked into the email address, which I had not logged into for ages, which I saved all those correspondences with EB and PP during that time AFTER i looked through every advices given to me on this thread.
That's when I remembered all the troubles and months losing money and trying to pay my distributor and the possiblity of losing him. It is very difficult to get a reliable distributor whom you can be 100% sure not selling imitations and always delivering.

If it's not for the folks here giving me sound advices and their opinions, I would have stood my ground and refused to refund, unless she returned and risked getting banned like my other buyer.

It's still silly to bend over like that, especially when you have a legit product.

Might as well put a banner in the listing saying " free items if you report me".

I am just reading this thread for the first time today and I am wondering whether your buyer may also sell the same product and is trying to trash your reputation with ebay, similarly if your other buyer was reselling perhaps the complainer is trying to level the playing field to get rid of the competition.

I have had these tricks tried on me so I now buy product from my competitors just in case I can shout the word counterfeit which has closed accounts down so fast, I know it was done to me. Payback is hell!

Behave.

Makes a change from the fluff we get forced to read.

It's a serious place for the OP to be.

May be the case, at this time the scammer has the upper hand.

Karma does bite though.

to me this is a likely scenario,as they did it to someone else too selling item....my thing would be to follow the trail of who else sells it.......

Dont disregard the point that the OP does not want heat on her account at this point.

Sometimes the obvious advice needs to be kept on ice

I agree, I usually let the buyer have their way, depending on the value of the item vs. the value of that account. The buyer in this situation knows how to play the game and at least they didn't leave a negative feedback.. I would certainly attack their account back thought. For saying they would return the item and not returning it.

i would attack the account with another account and not that one. I would also wait at least a few weeks to do anything. By that time the person would mostly have forgotten on what he/she did.

I rarely support that sort of thing. It tends to just muddy the waters. But in this case I honestly think the buyer needs a wake up call. Using the system to steal and break competition is simply wrong. She does it because she knows how to bend the system. Carma is a bitch...

What on earth makes you think that uyer will forget stuff like this in a matter of a few weeks?

Get real.

She's a professional scammer. Memory will be sharp as.

Yup remember what comes round goes round.

I am now anal when receiving orders right down to the fact that I will google the buyer in case its a competitor trying to get me out of the way, thats a bind when I process anything up to a 100 orders a day and its my main source of income.

The fact is ebay and the others dont care about the sellers it all about the buyer experience, we sellers are 10 a penny to them, when one goes down there is 2 trying to get back on.

OP stand your ground, go ninja if you have to but fight back as ebay is not going to help you.

I was just saying that maybe the scammer would forget which person she scammed that it came from. I am sure he/she scammed lots more people then OP and OP's other buyer.

And I agree that Karma might be a B**** sometimes but sometimes Karma takes too long.

There's a lot of BS here that I didn't read.

Want your problem solved? Make 7 stealth accounts and buy from them, then leave negative and cry F@KE. Surprisingly, things will be easier after that.

This user who is blackmailing you is either very bold, ignorant, or just plain stupid. I mean aren't they afraid you could start making buyer accounts and leave tons of negative feedbacks for them? Or aren't they scared you could make a bunch of buyer accounts and just start reporting their auctions for whatever reason...
This is EXACTLY what i would do. make a few accounts, neg her to death, be Karma's right hand man.

I would want to take a crack at her account... my 7000 100% feedback account TRS against hers would have a nice match if shes selling anything vero...

PM me her name?

PS she sounds like one hell of a scammer targetting you and your buyer. Your account was clearly stronger thus it survived and I dont think ebay always sides with buyers no matter how much feedback they have. If a seller generates good revenue for them why would they want to get rid of that person due to 1 complaint...

So the buyer might think the deal is over - why can't you take it up with eBay now?

No-one is accusing you now of selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods so there is surely no heat from ebay to worry about.

Explain the situation and also explain that you've seen it done to others, with them being taken down.

Go straight to the top though - find email addresses of people higher up rather than going through their call centre.

If she's wanting to take competitors down then don't necessarily think that is the last you hear from her.. she's probably making you think twice about selling the product now - that's her game.

Multiple angles of attack is better than none.

So end result is you refunded and lost $100, however no negative feedback and your account still going? I would have to say you made the right decision. Winning!

Faced with issues like this I always try to put my personal feeling aside and decide what is the best outcome. Its very difficult to do, however if you can do it then you will be more successful. I cannot count how many times my first reaction was to do all these negative things. Even went and posted it on here. Thankfully GB deleted it before I was embarrassed later on. Now I feel much better that I didn't react on initial feelings.

what i dont understand about this whole saga is, she was threatening to report you for selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ BEFORE she even received it.
Well by her buying the item KNOWING it is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ can get her into trouble with the law as well...

Also if she went ahead with her claims and they turned out to be false, you could have sued her for defamation of character (Especially if she leaves bad feedback ruining your name)

If i were you i would name and shame her here on this forum so we all know who this cow is.

If she doesn't return the item after you have refunded her, you can report her to the police, as she kept something she hasn't paid for aka Stealing and you can top that with all your logs of threats.

Then we will see who gets the last laugh.:D

There's a couple of salient points.

OP choose the course of action to safeguard the integrity of teh account.

That was successful.

Is that buyer due a visit from Karma.

Is it 'our' place to do so?

No.

Move forwards.

Peace & Mungbeans
