Strange ebay suspension today

An aged account got a MC999 today.

Account was a year old and started selling a couple of low risk items 3 months ago . I was trying to prep this account for international selling for Xmas.

There were no items for sales over the last few weeks. Monday was the 89th day of when I started selling. so I am kind of bummed.

There was one ebay case opened by a buyer but he closed it positively on Sunday.

Any ideas?

Here is what I got from ebay:
After reviewing your eBay account, recent activity has raised serious security
concerns. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
- Your eBay account has been suspended indefinitely.
- Item listings have been removed. A list of removed items is available further
down in this email.

You won't be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing
account or registering a new account. Any outstanding selling fees are due
immediately, and any amounts that you haven't previously disputed will be
charged to the billing method currently on file.

We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the
activity doesn't cause harm -- however unintentionally -- to the eBay community.

Obviously, there was something about the account that eBay did not like. If you didn't say the items were low risk, my first guess would have been that it was WHAT you were selling.

Maybe the customer complained. I will call to try to find out.

This sounds like a complaint... These people can be ruthless... I just had an account get suspended, I know its because I had a lady that just couldnt get over that I had blocked her and she constantly messaged me that she was calling ebay, paypal, police, etc, ect...

I wrote her off as crazy and lo and behold suspension from nowhere...

3yr Account with 100% positive feedback, business accounts, fully verified with EIN... The works... I was prepping this account for this years holiday. I never had a problem with anyone until her.

I called and indeed this one complaint got the account limited. The agent stated that they simply wanted to speak with me to find out my side... They really limited my account to speak with me! Have they never heard of the telephone, heck they have their own message system. smh

The limitation is a lazy default step - forces you to call in...did it get reinstated pepsimax?

Yes it did....

This week I have been dealing with flurry of paypal calls to correct issues with EIN. Apparently they had some issues like sending 1099 with personal name on it and not business name as it is set through LLC. They only verify the real name with IRS if it is sole proprietor business account. However if you set up your account as LLC then only Business name gets matched to IRS.

Address does not get checked at all with IRS. I was told this multiple times.

The question is ( sort of)

is the account in the name of pepsimax the name on IRS records

Response is yes or not.

Name must match what is on the IRS file.

That is why it is essential that some users should take professional tax help to make sure everything is in order.
