1. Name/address solution used - Stealth name - real address.
2. Phone number method (VOIP, prepaid) - Pre-paid Vodafone sim.
3. VCC used - 2 or 3 year mastercard, Not sure where from, the account was bought.
4. VBA/Bank accounts used - Halifax current account.
5. IP address solution - Mobile tethering.
6. Permanent limitation or asked for docs? Permanent.
7. Account age? 5-6 months.
8. eBay account in good standing? Yes.
9. Any possible links in the past or risky behavior in this account? Funds were taken from my paypal account to pay ebay fees over a month ago.*
10. Any other details specific to this account. Nope.
*This may well be the cause of my limitation but I'm doubtful given the limitation was the same as many others and on a specific date.(the 29th)

Trunk, paying your ebay fees from your paypal balance is fine.
You dont want the funds coming from your bank account, as they can then see the name attached to the bank account.

Somewhat expected this.
Months back, March/April time, I had a call from Barclays. My main bank and we have a great relationship. They asked me why deposits had mismatched names. I informed GB of this.
It's my suspicion that PP and banks have agreed to share info on mismatched names. Of course, I could be totally wrong.

When you click on the link 'learn how to remove this limitation' it takes you to page with a yellow box and a yellow/red exclamation mark, next to it, it says
'Limited account information: Your account is still limited, why?'
When you click on why, it takes you to a page that says this:
Why is my account access limited?
Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):
9 Dec 2014: For reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal Service we need some more information about you and your account to help confirm your identity.
However I cannot see on any page where it says 'this limitation can not be appealed against'
There are no options for me or steps to follow. Is this the same as what everyone else is receiving? | ALSO have this issue with a couple of accounts. hopefully the answer can be found soon as its worrying that the whole lot will go down like a deck of cards...

I purchased it here, along with an ebay account, and its been going perfect!
wonder what's caused it?
Built the ebay account to high limits too! Does that mean the ebay account is also useless now?

Between eBay and paypal, yes, the eBay account is also screwed. If you try to add a different paypal to the ebay account, paypal will link it and kill the "new" paypal account too

Rumours at the moment on the forum seem to be getting well out of hand on this situation. If you don't KNOW stop the assumptions.
Banks would not be contacting PayPal about mismatch names

I got the same message a few days ago, limited because of security reasons, cannot appeal. I generally use empty shops/businesses for an address, maybe they are using Google Streetview to check the likelihood of addresses being real. Halifax saver was added, confirmed with Entropay

I personally am not spooked by Ebay/PP, I diversify by having both Eb and PP accounts all over the world. Different countries have different rules

Interesting you say that, as mine that have gone down recently have been Barclay accounts.
