so it would look like this :

WAIT "-->--"

do u think i should do at the other waits as well

thanks

Vicvelcro 09-14-2009 03:00 PM

According to what you pasted, those are there. If they aren't then your pasted info was appending those. If they aren't in the script when you view it locally, don't use it on the line I inserted.

idiotbay 09-15-2009 12:05 AM

by the way thanks for all your help and quick responses, so heres what i did :

i put in : WAIT ">" also tired : WAIT "> [----]

but what happens now is that it just doesnt carry on with the rest of it, and if i enter the password manually it just closes,

sorry am total noob at this stuff

thanks

Can always ring o2 and get them to change your dynamic IP to a static one, cost £5 a month, but guarantees a new IP and location too.
The thing with the o2 dynamic IP is that it is assigned to your your mac number on your router, and although it is supposed to change, the majority of them are sticky, from what I have learnt, also you cannot force a change with them.
Another option, if you get through to the right person, ask them to reset your IP from the server. Might help, but I doubt it.
Why pay for a dongle etc when you can just pay £5 and have it changed, if that IP gets suspended go back to dynamic, all you lost is a fiver, its not on contract, just month to month.
Hope this helps

^^^Have you asked them to do it? When we asked 4 months ago, they declined. Gave a lot of garbage answers. :pouts:

Are you in oz or uk ?

GreenBean 12-11-2009 06:53 AM

a UK account. I do not make comments that are irrelevant to the country in question. That tends to create confusion, yes? :peace:

Using the batch files I have uploaded you can force a change in IP address but only by changing your routers MAC address, otherwise a forced changed is not possible.

tmobile boardband i bought a dongle for 30 pounds it came with 10 pound credit it costs 15 pounds a month after first month.

masai 03-29-2010 11:35 AM

My method is slightly different I think, but works everytime...
In windows run box type CMD to get the dos command prompt then type telnet 192.168.1.254

Type "SuperUser"
Type your password (found on your router if you havn't already changed it)
Type "ip ifdetach intf=O2_ADSL2plus
ip ifconfig intf=O2_ADSL2plus hwaddr=02:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
ip ifattach intf=O2_ADSL2plus
exit"

(replace each x with a random character from 0-9 or a-f, e.g. e6:93:25:5b:c3)

And you should get a new ip address!

rebel_rob 04-29-2010 10:32 AM

ive tried all the ways mentioned, cant manage to change it anyway :(

eternity4u 04-29-2010 11:05 AM

i have all the network dongles. From all of them i think i like orange has it has high signal. All are great it all depends on what area you live in.

stickmade 06-07-2010 08:59 AM

Been using a 3 dongle now on ubuntu it changes ip each time so thats great exactly the way i need it too.. but, on windows7 im using the same dongle, it dose change ip but, it seems to be shuffling through the same 10 ips, it always starts with 217.171.129.**, and the last two digits are going through a cycle of the same ips. I need to know if theirs a way to change this so the ip is changing completely each time... or at least enough to feel safe.... thanks
