| | | forummember | 08-08-2010 04:51 PM | 3, is the best. Fast and cheap. The IP changes everytime you use it. No worries when you go with the 3 dongle. |
| pending | 08-19-2010 06:59 PM | get a uk vpn - its cheaper |
| GreenBean | 08-19-2010 07:47 PM | @pending, where have you read on THIS forum that a VPN is fine for ebay?
It is not, so dont suggest it. |
| pending | 08-22-2010 10:50 AM | masai i am going to try that one out soon - if it works for me you've saved me a fortune! |
| faislondon | 01-01-2011 08:25 AM | I am a user of o2 broadband.I believe they are dynamic but i cannot find any MAC address. All i can do is change from telnet which is bit of pain and also need to make sure that the ip is in my area.Which will again create problem with ebay if of somewhere else.
Best idea is dongle |
| Stigger | 02-20-2011 05:32 PM | for people on o2 payandgo dongle try these settings
Profile name - Anything you want
A.P.N Settings leave dynamic (blank) - not put payandgo.o2.co.uk
User name : faster - not payandgo
password - password
leave the access number the same .
Once you have done that connect with your connection manager, once connected, disconnect and then reconnect and and start browsing
you will have faster Internet |
| mattytman | 02-21-2011 09:51 AM | I use a T-mobile dongle. It's brilliant and has worked for me (stealth-wise) for over a year. Every time I switch user profiles on comp I have to re-connect and bing...new IP address every time. I have been unlucky only once - whereby the fresh IP doubled up from a banned PayPal account - within an hour I was NARU on eBay and PP. |

hi there
No problem. What I do is use Hyperterminal Private edition v6.3 from Hilgrave. Good thing about this telnet software is that you can cut n paste your commands from a word doc with ease.
Kick start the software and connect via the ip address of the router. Log in under the SuperUser account and you then are greeted by the command prompt.
From here I just cut n paste the following commands, you can do it one by one or as I do the whole thing from first line to saveall. (x = your chosen hex digits)
ip iflist
ip ifdetach intf=O2_ADSL2plus
ip ifconfig intf=O2_ADSL2plus hwaddr=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
ip ifattach intf=O2_ADSL2plus
saveall
to change back you just start all over again using another set of the above commands with your original mac address inserted after HWADDR=.
I take you can find your current ADSL port mac address ok.
I also keep a copy of this script in the same spreadsheet for when I am recording the Ips I have been assigned and what accounts have used them etc | I tried this on o2 and my moden crashed and I lost my wireless network
and I think it might be better to buy a o2 dongle or I am going to try my iphone 4 connected to my pc and see what happens |

| Stigger | 05-08-2011 03:04 PM | well it should do, worked well on my giffgaff sim, the reason is o2 oparate a two tear network, one for payg and private contact and one for business contact, that is the settings for the faster stronger business network.
shame it didn't work for you, maybe you could try tz connection booster, that works good sometimes too. |
| jpennell | 06-01-2011 05:03 PM | Hi guys it might sound really dumb, but how do i change my ip address if i have a dongle? I have O bloody 2 dongle and i just have no idea how to change it.. :( |

However my experience with O2 is not good!
I use Three (3 mobile) which is the best!!!
T-mobile also great, vodafone good enough!
I will try orange as soon as I get hold of a dongle or a sim.
I now have 6 laptops with one dongle each pemenantly switched on, and 3 tower computers for more comfort one with a dongle and 2 sharing my O2 broadband. I use a KMV, so the 2 towers share 1 monitor mouse and keyboard, and I change the IP depending which one I use.
It costs a lot but it makes my life easy and I make a lot more money now than I did before . |

But the few seconds it takes to change IP become annoying if you do it a lot, like I do. So I pay my £15/ month per dongle and believe me if you have a lot of accounts its well worth it.
I only paid around £100 to £150 for each laptop (used), and they are all quite good machines, dual core processors with 2GB RAM.
The batteries are knackered but I don't need them portable.
Next plan now is to get this: TP-Link TL-SF1016D 16 Port Switch 10/100 Network
and connect them all to a RAID configured tower, so I only have one central secure storage for my records. The USB stick I use now drive me crazy , and I fear it will blow up one day and I will loose everything! |

how do you create so many accounts? :( My problem are the bank accounts, if you do them on YOUR actual name and paypall and ebay accounts on whatever name, then banks just dont accept the transfer!! :( its well annoying... Im a bit confused by this.. :(
thanks |
With a dongle will this alert e ba y or P P if you log in with different IP every time? is those IP shared? Means some bad used had logged in before.
Thanks
P.S.
VPN is not a good choice I used that for 2 moths, two Verified P P limited. Quote:

| ShadyOne | 06-06-2011 06:37 PM | ^ A dongle will be fine, just use different IP addresses for each account to make them appear to be seperate eBay/PayPal members.
A different IP is fine, it is normal for a lot of internet users. |

Ah...yes you missed the point.
The reason i use so many dongles is to be able to work on multiple accounts without switching windows users or even computer.
I assign a dongle to each account and never mix them. |
Just being curious. Tethering my iphone will be same as a dongle right? |
