I may actually be able to help here for once.

Many BT wireless broadband customers may be unaware of this but BT allows people to piggyback on their customer's routers.

If you look at your available wireless networks you may see BTFON or BT OPENZONE. By connecting to these you can purchase internet time - either 1 hour, 1 day or 5 days. This will be a different IP address I'd imagine.

You can only use it if your a bt customer.


If your on BT you can go into the advanced part of you router setting you can change back and forth to switch between IP range.

The BTFON and BTOPENZONE can be accessed by anybody at all, regardless of whether they are a BT customer, they just need to be in the vicinity of a BT router.

If a neighbour has a BT wireless router close by and the signal is strong enough then you can buy internet time.

I'm not a BT user but get a signal from a nearby wireless router which I can use by making it my preferred wireless network.

i can see it all the time but i cannot connect, i joined bt a couple of moths ago and asked what it was all about, i was told it was so if your a bt customer you can connect anywere you can see a signal using my home logon details. maybe you can pay for it like cloud and such but it costs a bomb, if you really stuck just go to mc d's at least its free there.

Yes that is correct - they do offer this service to BT customers but yes it seems a tad pricey.

then after creating an account you can buy access. You can actually buy an hours access for £3 paid via SMS which is handy.

Yes i notied last night, i managed to have a look around the site, £39 pound a month is a bit strong though, mind you i pay about that now , not happy either, rubbish service.

I've been using a Vodafone branded Huawei E870 3G modem with good results.

You can find Huwei's own software around the internet that allows you to use the Vodafone branded one with any network. Works with lots of Huwei models.

I can switch between poviders by switching over SIM cards and that guarantees completely different IP addresses between the accounts by making sure I only use a certain SIM with each account.

Could get expensive of course with too many accounts and PAYG SIMs - currently I use one PAYG 02 SIM and my normal monthly vodafone SIM out of my phone.

With the right phone you could do this too with tethering as long as your phone is unlocked so can use different providers.

First two sets of numbers between providers are completely different always so no need to worry or check or log IP numbers.

I'm on Vodafone contract too but get a new IP address if I disconnect and reconnect a few minutes later.

Is your phone definately disconnecting?

or go into your router settings and find it, or use a program like smac

I have been using 3G dongle for last 10 month never had an issue, with speed or anything it changes ip address all the time you connect.

I have tried using SMAC already, that only changes/Spoofs MAC address only rite?

Having some issues with a couple dongles, I have a T-Mobile one and Vodaphone one (for amazon purposes), However whenever I plug the T-Mobile one in since installing the vodaphone dongle, it picks it up as a voda one not t-mobile, they are both same manufacturer, but diff model any suggestions?

Guys a random question, can someone answer pls? :S In your stealth account, can you transfer into paypal account from you bank?? The name on paypoo is obviously different from my bank account, so im not sure i can transfer 10quid into it to pay for one auction or not..?

Hi guys! very random question i am a total junior to this.. can somebody tell me please how do i add money to my stelth PP acount? I am on minus only fricking 8 pound and i cant sell! how do i add the money in there so i dont get linked as well? thanks :(

O2 Routers
 

The easiest way to get a new IP on O2 is to use multiple routers i.e. one per e/b - p/p account.

This is because the lease time on IP addresses with O2 is almost indefinite which means every router gets assigned an IP which will almost never expire effectively giving you a static IP for any given router.

What this means on a stealth account is that the router you use will always give you the same IP address which keeps e/b & p/p very happy as you are immediately identifiable to them.

The routers can be picked up on e/b for just a few quid and once you've set it up with your stealth account just stick a label on it with the account name and your all done and dusted.

to find active mac address
I open a dos window
type cd desktop , which moves me to desktop
i then type getmac >> getmac.txt then enter, this creates a desktop text file with the mac address of the active device plus it lists other network card you have installed too.
next time you run getmac >> getmac.txt the >> means it doesn't over write but appends to existing file.



to change mac address i use this routine on one of my pc's

start
right click my computer and click on properties
click hardware tab
click device manager
click on network adapters
right click on a device (mine are realtek) select properties
select advanced tab
look for network address in properties list and edit the network address

if the network address is not show i use a free program called Technitum mac address changer.

i would recommend giff gaff if you have the network (its uk based) it is part of o2 so it works on their dongles

i pay £10 a month for unlimited internt its payasyou go and no contract

perfect 1 dongle one account keep everything seperate

"thats right, this is what I do" this is the best deal, however i buy my modem at O2 store 30quid and solves problems.
