Default feedback revision request ineligible?!?!

So , i sent a feedback revision to a client.

They then told me the feedback was not eligible.

Now after trying to get the buyer to contact ebay etc to look into it, its now expired.

Can i get ebay to sort the feedback out manually? the buyer clearly is happy to remove and revise, its just the system that did not allow her to.

Very annoying, any advice? and why would it not be eligible?

cheers

There are limitations to the feedback revision requests you can send out. In the US, I believe it is 5.

There is also a time limit on the request. The buyer has X amount of days (10 days I think?) to respond back to your request before it expires.

Yes, you can probably call an ebay CSR to manually see if they can send another request, but do you really think this is worth it? Calling ebay puts human eyes on your account.

Do you really want to risk losing an account over 1 bad feedack when DSRs are far more important? The choice is ultimately yours, but I would not risk calling ebay to help sort this out.

What im saying is, why did ebay let me send the request then tell the buyer the feedback is inelegible to revise?

Whats that all about?

Surely ebay should have prevented me from sending the request in the first place?

Time limit on feedback revision is 7 days.

Just to clarify.

Thanks. Haven't asked for one in awhile, so I wasn't sure. Always good to only use this as a LAST resort, since you are also limited in the amount of feedback revision requests you can ask for.

ive fallen foul of that issue myself a few times i understand your frustration if its a stealth account i could imagine contacting ebay may be quite risky whereas if she is happy and willing to remove it perhaps ask her to contact them ? you definitely shouldnt have that feedback tainting your good name if youve done everything within your power to ensure she had an enjoyable buying experience
