Default Email from PayPal EE Department

So i got a reply back from the EE Department at PayPal but i am confused about the email.

Here is the email can anyone make any sense of it who is Ms Murphy and whos email is this ? beefcakes28@hotmail.co.uk ive never heard of them contacts before

Also whats strange is there was 30k in my paypal they have released 16k when my account was limited the guy who closed it said i will release 20k clearly seems like this Steve got thats replying to be at the EE department hasn't listened to all the phone calls because if he did he would have heard the guy in the limitations department saying ill release 20k not 16k

Thank you for your response to our recent email concerning your PayPal account. I must reiterate the information provided in our previous correspondence. In addition, with regards to your funds being held, as a courtesy, we have released a large sum of funds, which have been successfully withdrawn to the bank account you have registered with us.

a review has been undertaken of all information provided and the decision has been made to cease our business relationship.

Ms Murphy, a review of your PayPal account registered with the email address beefcakes28@hotmail.co.uk shows that on 10 April 2019 PayPal received notification from one of you your buyer’s credit card companies that a Chargeback had been filed against a transaction received by you; citing “Buyer reports suspicious transactions” as the reason.

Please note that your customer’s credit card issuing bank grants its members specific consumer protections. This card holder chose to avail themselves of those rights, which are guaranteed by the credit card issuer, as well as applicable laws. We have no authority to replace or reduce any customer’s rights.

Our formal final response was provided at the bottom of the email correspondence received on 20 May 2019, outlining the bodies you may contact should you wish to further your complaint. In the interest of clarity, I have provided it again below.

All complaints can be further referred to the following bodies and for the purpose of doing so, this letter will be known as our “final response”:

UK Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), You have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, free of charge – but you must do so within six months of the date of this correspondence.

If you do not refer your complaint in time, the Ombudsman will not have our permission to consider your complaint and so will only be able to do so in very limited circumstances. For example, if the Ombudsman believes that the delay was as a result of exceptional circumstances. For further information, visit www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

Yours sincerely,

Seems that two files have been mixed up.... seen this some 20 months back...PayPal is not known for proof reading too often.

beefcakes28@hotmail.co.uk will likely be Ms Murphy’s email address.

I'd kindly reply telling this guy he has you confused with another seller.

It's strange how the first couple of paragraphs apply to you and the rest does not.

Look at his title under his name....

Executive Escalations.

He is a staffer who gets given files addressed to the CEO or similar to action.

He makes the decision, discusses same with his superior, then writes the letter(s)

Message them back and tell them to look at it again. Mention that they clearly have your case mixed up with somebody else (how embarrassing for them!)

Paypal are a bunch of clowns. They do not read notes left by their own staff in some cases.

I am currently trying to win a case that I should have clearly won. I had a paypal rep fully agree with me and even admit that they have made a big mistake up top as they clearly didn't read the notes she had made. She personally wrote out a complaint while I was on the phone and said she is asking them to over turn the decision on a case.

You have to remember that just because they say one thing on the phone doesnt mean that they will stick to it

They may have said that they will release 20k but that doesnt mean that they always will. They are not great at sticking to their word

Yep understood - so they are releasing 50% now and they will put the other 50% on review and look at it every 30 days

After 180 days the full amount that remains should be released.

Thats is just standard PayPal. The fact that you got the initial £16k released it really good
