Can ebay see the name on your bank account

With ebay MP, the deposits I get don't ever have a name attached. And not with any bank I use do I ever see a name attached to the ebay deposit.

So I don't understand why people keep saying this is an issue. Only when there was paypal did the deposits show the name. The new MP payments never show the name. It says ebay and some other numbers and stuff. But I don't think the bank sees the name of the ebay account. Not since MP started.

That right, it show name, because now ebay uses its own merchant, after closed work with of PayPal

If you're doing managed payments with a business account, just setup business bank accounts with mercury.com....extremely simple and easy, and their wire transfers/ACH transfers are free. Also, if you have multiple bank accounts with them you can link them together and easily move money between them. I love that bank, used them for years

EDIT: Just be aware you can't do mismatch name deposits with them since its an online based bank. Just create a business per ebay account and keep it legit, it keeps everything simple

Mercury use Evolve Bank & Trust, this bank also use WISE, but any business account can be opened as a multiple accounts, and can use mismatch names,but Evolve Bank & Trust is not allowed this for the Mercury.

Hello everyone! My LLC was recently approved by Mercury (non-resident), and I have successfully linked it to my eBay account.
However, I’m concerned because I previously used WorldFirst (JPMorgan Chase accounts) for payouts, and eBay suspended those accounts after about a month. In my tests, only the WorldFirst batch triggered suspensions.
My biggest worry now is a name mismatch. Has anyone here successfully received long-term eBay payouts using Mercury as a non-resident? Any advice on avoiding another suspension would be greatly appreciated!
Meanwhile Wise with USD details works perfectly with missmatch details

I know both Etsy and Paypal can see your bank account name without the 2 penny deposit,so I cant understand why MP cannot.
------Ebay has an account with MP and we are sub accounts,thats why MP does not check name,it is all under Ebay.
Let Ebay decides what to do afterwards.
(We do not have account with MP,can you imagine the size of its customer service if everyone of us have an account)

How can they the true account name unless money is withdrawn or money is sent to them? Only then is there an electronic receipt produced - or if the user gives the true name during registration. Otherwise banks won't share that info freely...

May be bank wont share it with you but it will with payment processors like Paypal and other banks .of course it would share with FBI,
In the early days of Paypal,it would compare the name you register with paypal with the name of the bank account you want to link to,if it is not EXACTLY the same,like Tommy Lee and Thomas Lee,it would reject your application.
Then it decided not t o be so picky,so Tommy,Billie vs THomas,William are fine.
(Banks also share information with each other,if you have a merchant account to accept credit cards ,and you are not sure if this is legit,you can ask your cc provider which is usually a bank call the issuer bank and ask if this transaction is legit.)
These days banks do not like endorsed checks due to fraud,so it must be checking the name of payee on the deposit vs your bank account name,so names do matter,whether you open an account,withdraw or deposit
