But “limited” conditions does not mean “no” conditions, underlining the need for health care workers to have high levels of personal protection, especially when doing procedures such as intubation that have the greatest chance of creating coronavirus aerosols. “I think the answer will be, aerosolization occurs rarely but not never,” said microbiologist and physician Stanley Perlman of the University of Iowa. “You have to distinguish between what’s possible and what’s actually happening.”
And for something to be aerosol, it has to remain in the area for a couple hours. Like fog. There are strong reasons to doubt the new virus has anything close to that capability. If it did, we'd be seeing much greater levels of transmissions. Quote:
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, that is not happening. Earlier this month, CDC scientists reported that the rate of symptomatic infection among a patient’s household members was 10.5%. The rate among other close contacts was 0.45%. In the case of one particular patient, none of his five household members, although continuously exposed to the patient during the time he was isolated at home, tested positive for the virus.

Those silly colonists. What do they think it's going to help, for them to stock pile all those guns? It's not like they have anything to worry about, and even if they did, it's not like they could stand up to our army anyways.
| I think it had a little more to do with the French and Spanish but lets that is an argument for another day. Quote:

Its also a way to prove a point to the liberals that want to reduce the right to bare arms and a very effective way of further expressing an individuals independence from state. Added to that is makes people feel safe, a lot like wearing a mask does, regardless of any actual benefit and that effect in itself leads to more calm and level thinking which actually does have a real benefit. Before there is hate..... just to make clear there is absolutely nothing wrong with buying guns if that is how people choose to express themselves and give themselves a sense of security. It definitely isn't going to hurt anything to wear one.

The machines to make it will take 6 months, and another month before they are ready to go. The price of everything involved, is also going up. The material now costs 10 times as much
Assuming the supply of fabric remained the same, it would take over a month to produce enough for everyone, to have just ONE.

7 days gets every person in China a mask. And not every person in the world is going to want or need one.
Production has ramped up 20x since last month, don't be so naive to think it won't keep multiplying.
Regarding the rest of your post, looks like a few hints on what stocks to invest in. |

Regarding the rest of your post, looks like a few hints on what stocks to invest in. | If the masks were unlimited use, sure. As they are produced and distributed, they are also used up and discharged. Especially with medical professionals, probably going through a dozen a day.
how do we know which person in the world needs one? We can't predict who'd get sick. Young healthy people might be sick and never know it. Doesn't hurt them, but hurts others around them.
But again, while production has ramped up 20X, it's not something that can keep increasing, if it can even be sustained at that pace, for the reasons I mentioned. It literally CAN'T keep multiplying. I'm not sure how long it can keep up this current pace to be honest.
They are running out of the material to make the masks, and you can't just increase production of that. It will take MONTHS to setup manufacturing before production increases. Making masks is actually a very complicated process. It might look easy, but it's not. We are talking about a product that can keep out something as small as a virus...

I doubt I'll personally know someone that dies, or maybe even get sick (with knowledge they are sick). Tho my best friends sister in laws uncle just died?

Far right republicans who think this is a hoax don't want a mask.
Homeless don't want a mask.
The poor probably aren't very concerned with a mask
I don't want one(as of right now) because I'm just staying away from people.
I'd say 25% of Americans, or less, will want a mask. Just a guess... who knows.

The hoax claim was specifically about what they were saying about trump and his handling of it and everything they said to make him look bad. Trump was already calling for border closings and was pissed off the plane with sick people was let in, and etc etc, long before anyone heard the word "hoax".
