lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooo
funniest stories i have read in a looong time.

imjustme 05-22-2008 10:49 AM

Buyer gave feedback to wrong seller, no mutual withdrawal possible ...yeeehaw

One of my trigger happy buyers gave me a negative on an account today where he bought an electronics item 4 days ago. It read:

Quote:

Belt is WAY shorter than the listing stated. Buyer insulted me. AVOID!
The problem is, I don't sell belts. And he didn't even buy that belt from me. He already contacted me and said sorry, that he was angry and left the feedback for the wrong seller (me) in a hurry.

Awesome, since there's no feedback withdrawal anymore, I'm stuck with a negative I had nothing to do with.

mantisinc 05-22-2008 11:41 AM

Oh no, what a pain! Maybe if you contact eBay about it they may intervine?

imjustme 05-22-2008 12:41 PM

I contacted the live support minions but they of course directed me to 'Trust&Safety'.

mantisinc 05-22-2008 01:07 PM

Live support is a virtual eBay help page, you should know that by now imjustme :p

For all it's worth, it just should be a bot.

Jonas 05-22-2008 01:28 PM

LiveChat claims they only talk to one person at once but they act like they talk to 20 people at once. They take forever to respond to each chat part and forget things I just told them so I have to repeat what I said over and over. Also they will seem fine just waiting there for hours doing nothing.

imjustme 05-22-2008 02:06 PM

Same here, they're surely talking to 20 people at once. Otherwise they wouldn't say "hold on" or take 3 minutes (not joking) to answer a simple question.

2eXclusiive 05-22-2008 02:23 PM

ebays customer service is pretty bad,
they are probably eating dinner, watching tv, reading a book, smoking a blunt and talking to you at the same time
well thats what it seems like they are doing because half the time their responses are so vague and sometimes their response have nothing to do with the problem you are facing.

411guru 05-22-2008 05:05 PM

This too happened to me but the opposite way. He gave me a positive, then emailed me cursing me out saying "I gave you the wrong feedback, your product is crap, you're so lucky I messed up, I meant to give you a negative" I was just lol...

LOL yeah most likely,
livesupport is a pure joke, 9/10 they dont help at all.
your practically smarter then them.

2eXclusiive 05-22-2008 08:52 PM

you would seriously be better off learning what you have to on your own.

divine422 05-30-2008 10:27 AM

I got my first PITA buyer today

All my high priced auctions require that payment is required within 24 to 48hrs...just because you cant go into any electronic store and they hold the item for a week until you can pay while other people maybe interested. If its an item thats not in demand then ill be a little more lenient.

This person bought the item and said they are waiting on a cheque to come in the second week in June and they didnt want to "let a good auction go by". What pissed me off was he didnt ask, he told me to wait because he will leave negative feedback if i dont comply anyway. Ok...ok, so I dont have control over my auction anymore? I see. So i noticed he was selling items too. Bad idea for a seller to screw a seller.

I got this idea from a fellow poster on this forum. Me and a friend of mine went on a bidding frenzy on one of his auctions just to hike his ebay fees. I won the auction checked out with a money order and left negative feedback. Dropped it real nice too, he already had one already with just 10 feedback. Usually i dont condone this kind of behavior but seriously, buyers like that need to be taught a lesson i could have done more damage anyways.

imjustme 05-30-2008 12:28 PM

How I negged a fraudulent buyer today..

Here's how I negged a fraudulent buyer today:

1. He bought the item from me 4 weeks ago.

2. 1 week ago he emailed me that he never received it. I found that very strange since my deliveries to the US always go through. I didn't send with tracking so I couldn't be sure.

3. Yesterday I refunded his money and apologized. He gave me neutral feedback which obviously equals to a -1 for sellers these days.

4. Today I noticed he's a seller too and checked his listing ...and sure enough, there was the item that I sold him - for twice the price he bought it for. Not only that, but he also stole the exact same pictures I had in my listing.

5. Since he had BuyItNow without the need to pay immediately, I grabbed one of my buyer accounts, bought it and gave him a negative feedback. I didn't let him know in any way that it was me who sold him the item in the first place, but I gave him a nasty negative anyways.

:D

ebay-sucks 05-30-2008 12:34 PM

I posted this in the feedback section under fight fire with fire about a week ago. I am not one to neg anyone but the time has come. I have created an account just to leave negs now. I am sick of this myself, like you, I had a buyer think the item should have been there yesterday even though they paid 25 days after the auction.

Lisa B 05-30-2008 12:58 PM

Div - Sorry to hear what happened, nor do I blame you. Buyers can be so mean and downright nasty at times because they know eBay protects them 110%.

Don't forget to block that jerk.

I also think we should have a private list somewhere on this baord with all the PITA Buyers so we can block them all.

Lisa B 05-30-2008 01:12 PM

Sorry to hear what happened to you both.
When this happens to me and I if have the opportunity, I'm going for it.

Many sellers are posting blogs about NPB's along with their ID's on eBay.

zymo 05-30-2008 01:24 PM

One thing to be careful of .. Don't neg to quickly or it will be obvious and possibly removed.

Lisa B 05-30-2008 01:46 PM

Zymo - I thought Buyer negs were only removed if the Seller could prove the Buyer was blatantly extorting the Seller.

In this case all IMJ did was buy the item then gave them a neg.

I see you are from N Cal. so am I, I'm so glad those fires in Santa Cruz were finally put out.....whew.

zymo 05-30-2008 02:27 PM

Lisa B -- Are you as cute, sweet, and sexy (and single) as that pic shows ...

Maybe it's time for a little romance .. It's been a loooooong time for me so I know I am.

PM Me ... :):) :D:D

Lisa B 05-30-2008 04:00 PM

Yep, I know I look hot and sexy.

divine422 05-30-2008 04:17 PM

lol nice. i did the exact same thing to a buyer. Payback

mantisinc 05-30-2008 05:38 PM

It's really agrivating when they try and take control over you buy saying "I will leave you negative feedback".

Jonas 05-30-2008 10:52 PM

imjustme please keep us updated if the neg gets removed, if he figured out it's you, etc.

imjustme, if he resells it buy it again and have him ship to you to Japan and then claim it didn't come. If he ships overseas from the USA it needs global express guaranteed to view tracking online or paypal won't like it. Also pay credit card and do chargeback if you don't get it back for free.

jscan 05-31-2008 02:22 AM

This is a great loophole for us sellers to use to our advantage.

Well done IJM, i never use to like leaving negs also, but this time ebay has gone to far.

imjustme 05-31-2008 02:39 AM

Neg hasn't been removed yet but he sent me a message over eBay saying "WHYYYYYYY?????" :D

jscan 05-31-2008 02:58 AM

reply saying YOUR MUM!!!!

twdell 05-31-2008 09:06 AM

i will be doing the same thing to this seller who bought something from me, then refused to pay. i filed a non-paying bidder claim against him, then the profanity started. i didn't want to deal with this guy anymore so i closed the claim. then the very first day of the new feedback policy he gives me a negative.

this guys gonna be in for a big surprise when i give hime at least a few negs from a few different buyer accounts. i am going to wait a few months do. it's best served cold....

2eXclusiive 05-31-2008 09:51 AM

imjustme - you make me proud
=D

hehe, I don't know why but that response is very funny to me.

sycoreisback 05-31-2008 01:19 PM

I've been doing that to powerseller just to make the T&S monkey do some work. They would remove them in a day or so, so permanent harm came to the seller.

However, it now looks like ebay is trying to protect them, because I read somewhere that you can not leave negative for powerseller for 5 days.

I am currently preoccupied with taking care of a terminally ill family member, but once I have some free time, I will find new and better ways of f'ing with ebay and paypal.

2eXclusiive 05-31-2008 01:33 PM

lol
goodluck hope you come up with something that will help us all out.

Ballsack 06-03-2008 03:46 PM

Many many years ago I found someone doing that. He used my pictures and my description word for word. I asked him not to do that because he's basically posing as me, next thing I know I've been suspended from Ebay. I guess he reported the email as harrassment.

2eXclusiive 06-03-2008 03:50 PM

ah, thats what you get for being nice these days
no respect

Junkymail 06-03-2008 03:54 PM

Fortunately the buyer was stupid enough to not only sell the same item from the same account he bought it from, but also used all your pictures too.

If he was smart he would have used a different account completely and taken new pictures. Geez.... it's bad enough to get scammed, but to get scammed by an idiot makes it more frustrating!

411guru 06-05-2008 12:42 PM

Ever had your listing stolen and pasted on a website word for word, pic for pic? Happened to me. Dude bought one of my watch tv on pc programs and I saw that he had a website in his paypal payment details. I clicked on it and BAM there was my listing but on a WEBSITE. So not only did he start a website selling MY Programs, he even used my listing! I don't know how to describe the feeling one gets when you see it. I worked on that listing for 5 hours I remember, and someone just copy and pastes it.

2eXclusiive 06-05-2008 12:52 PM

411guru - did you take him down? or is the website still up and he's still making money off of it?

411guru 06-05-2008 01:04 PM

As soon as I saw it, I emailed him threatening to report him to ebay, paypal, and copyright authorities. The next day, it was taken off fast. But still, it gave me a bad feeling in my stomach to know that someone will actually do that.

2eXclusiive 06-05-2008 01:34 PM

im happy to hear that, did the program/software/ebook come with resale rights?

411guru 06-05-2008 01:46 PM

LOL. Of course not. That program generated me alot of $ in only 3 months.

2eXclusiive 06-05-2008 01:55 PM

lol
oh ok
that makes sense because alot of people sell their eproducts with resell rights.
you still sell that same product? or did ebay ban that?
