Ha that made me laugh - I havent called PP in ages and dont like dealing with them. That being said...interesting idea - I will entertain it - let me create one over the weekend and see what's up. Calling PP is a boring affair to me unless absolutely necessary

I noticed that it's impossible to add US' bank account to non-US paypal account. I try Canadian account , Australian Account and UK account. it keep say "you can't add this bank at this time" . I think maybe it is the reason that these accounts are not verified. so I try some verified account and add second bank accounts to these account. it still says "you can't add this bank at this time". I try one Chinese verified account, it also you can't add this bank at this time". so I contact with customer service. they tell me that they have gotten some complaints for can't add US' bank account to non--US paypal account from other seller. they are asking technique support to resolve this problem. then one hour later paypal call me to give one try once again. says that they have specially proceed my account. ok - let me try Meta bank - wait my update

update, I just successfully add Metabank to my Chinese paypal account (early verified with Chinese bank account before add metabank) after they call me back. I think it will be ok to call them if you have one verified account and ask to add second bank .

anybody can try one non-verified non-US paypal account and give them a call, I don't have good oral English.

I've got the same message when I tried to add a Payoneer bank account (First Century Bank) to my Bulgarian PP account. I called them and they said they are having some problems with that bank too and they will have a resolution after a couple of weeks...

Why are you bothering to use a bank known to fail with paypal?

I would have thought with all you ghost accounts you would know that one.

Metabank is a risk.

Has anyone had any success adding a US bank to international paypal, Im still thinking it is a glitch.

Obviously there is a serious issue in Paypal's system. There are threads in both Paypal discussion and Payoneer forums about this matter.

what international paypal did you use the us account? I can add them to us accounts no problem.:ranger:

As well, paypal UK has had so many issues nearly all year with bank transfers too.

Also U.S. Bank option on my UK paypal account has disappeared.
Only UK bank with a sort code.

Some other forums are reporting paypal is acknowledging the problem and should be fixed shortly. I don't think they are fazing out add us banks, but something is definitely going on. I think with Canadian account they are cross checking the phone and address.

Have an option on a PP opened in Greece (EU) that has option for withdraws to a UK bank or USA bank although not tried this yet but options are there.

UK PP has only UK bank option to add.

Just got a US bank account this morning - could not get one before the weekend. Likely create an account tomorrow or day after to try the verification. Tonight is softball game (thanks Sandy D :thumb: hah)

Im going to play with some more things later, but I think they have changed some verification checks to be able to add us account. I am going to try and pin point which one.

A few days ago, I was able to add a US account. I hadn't touched the account for a while, so when I tried adding it again, it made me go through the "we want to make sure it's you" security stuff... change security questions, password, verify number on file etc.

I passed the security check and it let me add the account. 2 days later I get an email saying the 2 deposits failed. When I go back to my paypal, the account is removed. When I try to add it again, it says you cannot add this account at the moment, but if you would still like to, please provide a bank statement from this account, valid ID and call 1-800xxx.

So it went thru, but didn't work beyond that. I think it's over.

I have a little info for you guys. No answers, but another piece of the puzzle.

About a month ago, I tried to add a greendot bank and got the same warning message. I naturally assumed that Paypal were actively blocking people from adding VBA's now...The easiest way to do this would be to block anyone from entering a particular routing number. You could base it on the name of the bank too, but there are too many different variations one could enter for the bank name. For example - Greendot bank , GD bank etc - and banks don't actually need this data to process the payment anyway.

SO...I assumed they were blocking the Greendot routing number. Searched online to see if Greendot use any other routing numbers...and they do! - So I typed in the new routing number I found and surprise surprise - Paypal accepted the bank account.

Fairly conclusive for me. Paypal are actively blocking you from entering certain routing numbers from known VBA's.

And before you ask - No - my trick didn't work. The payment was returned to my Paypal account as the routing number and account number did not match.

Should enquire if the VBA sellers here are having issues.

I don't think it's a certain bank because I tried first with Citi then I tried a new Wells F bank a few minutes later and still got the 'not at this time' result message.

I agree. It appears a range of different banks.

Tested different banks,different accounts with different status. Still same result, not working.
I will do some more testing to see if this is a permanent thing or is there a way around it.

I've a temp hold access for making new US bank accounts.

Yeah its definitely not a specific bank, I tried just about all of them. Adding a bank in the country of the account it goes right through. Paypal seems to be acknowledging the problem but no eta on when it will be fixed. Its not like its a small problem, even buyers who want to purchase items using there usa accounts are having issues. Its not just us sellers who like multiple international accounts. I think paypal is keeping us out the loop on something :spy:
