So i got my paypal and ebay account and listed one item.. ( i was planning on listing 28 items (non high risk items) but my limit is 10 per month i guess .. is this normal.. so i ended up just listing one item and read that if you reach your 10 you can ask for increase.... so wondering if i should just randomly sell items in my house or similar items i have listed now but different one.... and then when i sell 10 just request it??
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Have been getting the same 10/£650 pm limit initially on my new accounts. I initially list some cheap things from around the house, and do it gradually. When around 6 or 7 items are listed EB is displaying a message inviting me to request higher selling limits. Click on link, and when EB sees that account is linked to a verified PP the limit goes up to 25/£750

ok so your suggesting i list random items instead of something that's pertains to my business.. or does that really matter.. since i'm kind promoting my business with my username anyways so why not sell items that are consistent right? (not a high risk item anyways).....
But when ebay invites you for higher items... from 10 to 25.. that seems kind of low.. :( Well I guess its better then nothing... and better safe then sorry..
Is your items also only buyitnow options.. tried to do listing where i can rack up highest cost for the item but seems i can't list that way..
I would let your limits raise naturally...unless you can send in all the docs that they might ask for to verify the account...after 3 months of selling and hitting your limits they 'should' go up. Now there's not set increase...it all just depends on what eBay feels like doing that day. Hope this helps.
Our circumstances vary a bit. The stuff I really want to sell is high risk so am starting with the household (and other low risk) items while the account establishes. Been using auctions, and also mixing in the BIN like you say, to get the feedback coming in. Steadily does it though. Hopefully you will get a few more responses as other people will do it differently.
I sell random household, yard sale type items for a couple months and sell up to the limit and if you do well the limits are usually raised automatically.
