Typically Australia is the strictest by a long way. UK/Europe is the most relaxed. Depending on the city/state US is between the two but more erratic.

Have you noticed how many eBay sellers are selling vero items directly from Hong Kong, China, Thailand, and Singapore in the past few months? They don't have to worry about customs seizures I guess. And eBay continues to allow them to list without the heavy hand of vero ordering takedowns. Could it be that without notifications from customs about seizures, vero doesn't have the data to work with?

I doubt that is the case. Vero just seems to go by whatever you upload to eBay.

But it is not that international sellers don't have to worry about customs seizures. Any package can be seized at anytime. But the smaller the package, the less likely it is to be inspected.

For example, it is safer for one seller to send 25 individual box sets of DVD's to 25 different people at different addresses, than it is to send ONE shipment containing 25 box sets of DVD's to one person. So that DOES work in their favor. But the shipping charges are much higher.

somebody pm me a better way. I use dhl b/c my dhl driver will deliver to me regardless of the address I use. I'd use ems, but none of the addresses I use are real. pm me if possible on a workaround or any other suggestions. thanks.

I honestly wouldn't use DHL, it was just recent that DHL is being used again and only for a short period of time, because of things like this.

Last year not many people use DHL.

Well, that's good news.

That's a first I have seen. I personally stay away from DHL.

I'd use EMS if I could be TOTALLY stealth and not have to sign. No way am I shipping anything to my house.

you can sign a piece of paper for post office saying that anything coming your place leave by front door.

Never ship to your house if you can't help it. What if customs or local law deliver it to your door. Leaving it at your door means that you must show Id and all to the post office. The cops have easy access to your packages without warrants.

I've never once had to show id for ems packages, don't have them delivered to my house either.

No you don't want any of that stuff delivered to your door unless you don't mind having someone from the company of the stuff you're selling knock on your door, it happened to me, I didn't like the way they were staring me down and keeping extra quiet waiting for me to swallow, but it was all in good fun.

You know, holding back flights from Hong Kong could mean that Cincinnati is jammed up. If true, customs may just be backlogged.
