i made 2 EB accounts a couple of weeks ago, along with 2 PP accounts. i linked EB account 1 to PP1 about a week ago after PP was verified (sort of stealth, but with my real name). i linked EB account number 2 to PP2 about 4 days ago (complete stealth).

account number 1 has a selling limit of 25
account number 2 doesn't appear to have any at all (more than likely 100 though)

i'm not complaining, but i was planning on building account 1 up and letting 2 sit there for a bit. looks like plans are changing.

Oh DAMN!! This is not good news, WTF , They only just moved the goal posts and now they are moving them again.
25 items I am going to need 20 accounts at the least.
I buy items in the hundreds sometimes 1000's to cut costs , just not worth it anymore, anyway, have a few more accounts with a 100, hopefully they stay or i am gonna be stuck with shed loads of stock. Centralising profit goes against everything the site is supposed to be about, FFS. Rant over, need to now go open a million accounts and get them harder than I have before . you will submit, ebay, you will submit .

Hello how you managed to increase selling limit to 100. Did you linked to other established account or you linked it to Paypal?

Those getting 100/£3500, are the paypals limit free, ie receiving limit lifted?

What about those getting 25/£750, any limits on the Paypal account?

Just an idea that may be worth looking into.

I created a seller account today and got 10/650 and then i upgraded straight away to a business account and then clicked request higher selling allowance which asked me to sign into paypal and after that i got 25/750

I clicked request higher selling allowance again and it asked for me to call them.

What would happen if we call them?

What sort of questions would they ask?

yep got 100/3500 like a few others in this thread- 260 is a really odd number (esp when backed by the 3500, which seems to be the norm 100/3500 items), have absolutely no idea where the hell they pulled that one out the bag from.

the one i have done still has limits in pp

maybe something is changing as there systems seems to be very inconsistant when changes are happening.

Cheers for confirming Tizwoz.

I thought it was worth checking, afterall an Ebay account with a £3500 selling limit isn't a lot of use on a Paypal account with a £1900 receiving limit.

You're definitely right regarding the apparent inconsistency when Ebay make changes like this. Time will tell whether 100/£3500 is going to become a distant memory on a new account.

I would absolutely love Google to do an auction site, think they are the ONLY people who would put the sh*tters up EB!

I agree with GrannyT, I honestly think EB are steering towards the main brand / highstreet outlets! A shame really that a genuine honest Jo Bloggs that wants to sell his life history gets tarred with the 'scammer' brush!

IMO there are a lot more crooked buyers than there are sellers at the moment! And EB have only helped them along with all this 'buyer protection' Bull!
