A buyer is being charged extra as the post office reckons i don't have enough postage on his parcel I have a proof of posting certificate. And there is defo the right amount on the package as its a post office label unless it come off somehow. How do i solve this problem? Can i claim back the fee that the buyer will have to pay? As obviously i will have to refund him that amount of money.
I'm fuming!
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
I've had that happen before with small letters, for some reason some of them have failed to qualify for the cheaper stamp, not the 2nd class large one. Out of 300-400 items, I've had that problem twice.
Not a big deal, just weird- we are talking tiny amounts here, not like something has gone over 2kg limit.
Just refund the money and move on, not that difficult.
No I'm pissed off now! I've had three buyers contact me in the last month telling me they had to pay a fee on their package as it was underpaid for by me. This morning I got a small letter back with the correct amount in stamps on it. On it was an item underpaid sticker. The large letter was returned to me because the buyer would not pay the fee.
At least one of the packages had been posted by me at a local post office and would have had one of their sticky labels on it.
What a bunch of useless arseholes.
And what do I see when I go to my ebay account? A negative for item not received.

One of these is now sorted, I reported the problem with Royal Mail. They asked me the date item was sent and name, address of receiver of parcel. I will receive a book of stamps to value of the £3.00 which covers the charge cost.
One thing they are very hot on with large letters is the size.
Even if they are 1mm oversized they will charge the buyers the extra cost, so may be worth investing in a large letter guide. Mine has been well worth the £10 it cost!
Thanks for the reply.
I had an item returned because the buyer did not pay the underpayment fee. I took it to my local post office who confirmed it was the correct size for large letter and DID have the correct amount in stamps.
Yesterday my other buyer photographed the parcel i sent him, the post office label was gone completely, I have a POP and i am awaiting the royal mail complaints depts decision.
I have been posting these items for many months without problems. My local post office told me they have been getting many complaints from customers with the same problem as me but only over the last month. Someone in my local sorting office is failing to measure correctly.
