Google is one of the only companies in the world to own (1 or more) Class A public IPv4 subnets since they are one of the only companies to have such a large demand for IP addresses. I don't know if you're familiar with subnetting but if they're giving you one of their Class A IP's then this would make it very easy for anyone to tell you're using a Google IP. When a company buys a Class A subnet they are giving 16 million sequential IP addresses.
For example, 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.254 is a Class A subnet. If google owns this block of IP's and you login to eBay/Paypal with a 10.x.x.x IP address it would be obvious you're using a Google IP since any IP starting with "10." would be Google's property.
Note that Class A subnets range from 10.0.0.0 to 127.0.0.0 so theoretically if your IP starts with any number between 10 and 127 you're on an easily identifiable Class A network.
