Default New Ebay Seller account Limit? Need Help

I just got an email from Ebay. What should I do? Should I just reply and let Ebay call me? Does anyone have the same experience? What Ebay will ask me?
Thank you.

Hello XXX
Earlier today, I tried to contact you to gain some insight into your
business so that we can help coach you for success on the site.
Occasionally limits are placed on accounts; at this time we have been
able to raise the limits on your account. If you would like to speak to
us regarding these limits then please reply to this e-mail with a good
time to reach you. If you have an alternate phone number, please include
that as well otherwise your limits will remain as follows:

Total worth of items able to be listed every 10 days: 250.00

Please keep in mind that these limits will reset in a rolling 10 day
period. The purpose of these limits is to allow continued growth at a
pre-determined level. Currently you have not reached these limits, if
you reach these limits and feel ready to take your sales further, please
don't hesitate to reply to this email and we would be happy to discuss
your future plans.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Asa

If I'm reading this correctly it sounds as if you list 5 items starting at 99 cents and they all sell for $50.01 they will place this limit? That sounds crazy, but nothing they do surprises me.
Funny thing is that you can list a $25,000 car on a brand new account with no problems. Given car titles, VINs, etc I can see how you will leave footprints and even on a stealth account it would be nearly impossible to remain totally anonymous

Here is a piece of best advice coming from someone who has had a stealth account for over a year without ANY issue. When you first get kicked off ebay and find this forum it is easy to get excited and want to get right into creating a stealth account and start selling immedietly. Treat the stealth account(s) as a baby. Let it grow slowly and you can enjoy a worry free account or accounts in time. Take at least 3 months or MORE if you can wait and buy things. Get your feedback into the 30s with buying (dont buy a whole bunch at once in my opinion, but over the 3+ month time frame). After that, list 2-3 items.....cheap items......used items......NON ATTENTION items.....sell and ship them and continue buying for another month or so.....then sell 5 items and after having an account for about 6 months you can up your selling....not recommended to bump it up over night, but slow and steady. This is what "normal" "regular" "average" ebayer does so it is easy to fly way under the radar by doing this. Again, I know it is nothing anybody wants to really do because it is really easy to just want to jump back in, but use the time to gather your thoughts/business plans and relax. This way you wont have to worry everytime you log onto ebay/paypal with butterflies in your stomach waiting to see if that account went to shiznets. It is really the best way to do things! Good Luck!

Default eBay sales limitation

I Have also received a similar email and still waiting for a response from eBay.
----------------------------------------
Dear (my user id here),

I've taken a look at your account and see that your sales are doing
well. Great job!

After reviewing your account we are pleased to let you know that we have
decided to raise your selling limits to the following:

$8,000.00 worth of closed sales per week

If you go above this limit, you will be blocked from listing new items.

The purpose of these limits are to allow continued growth at a
pre-determined level. While you have not encountered them yet, if you
reach these limits and feel ready to take your sales further, please
don't hesitate to reply to this email and we would be happy to discuss
your future plans.

In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to build a positive
selling history on eBay and to follow all policies. With your seller
dashboard you can watch your progress, maintain your excellent service
to buyers, and keep your account in good standing.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
John
