Thank god i found this thread. I thought my supplier was trying it on and talking rubbish.

Got 2 parcels since the 13th saying shipment information received and been checking every few hours for updates. MY stock is low now and will only last for a day and still no sign of the parcels moving.

This could have catastrophic results for both suppliers and buyers if this goes on any longer. I've read in this thread it could be upto 3 months? That will cause most people to go out of business if they rely on goods from China and HK.

I've got no stock at all. & I'm still waiting on a parcel from the 17th. My supplier has said don't worry & it will be picked up soon. I've always used this supplier & they are very reliable & I've always got my package within 5-7 days so I do trust them, it isn't their fault that this has happened & it's as annoying for them as it is for us.

I don't know how long this is going to go on for but it's so frustrating for everyone involved.

Is EMS effected too or just DHL? EMS takes longer but it's better than nothing.

The problem is with customs in Hong Kong if you are selling non battery goods then you can send from china direct.

My suppliers just said "dear tomorrow will update, I had urgent the dhl"

I can't understand what they mean half the time :lol:

She also goes on to say that dhl told her it will update tomorrow & she's told me if it doesn't update she's going to keep ringing them again & again.

Hi im in the same boat .... My supplier has always been trustworthy and honest and shipped my parcel 17th sept and stuck on shipment information received ever since then. my Chinese supplier has made a suggestion I make a new order and he will send through dhl China and not hk. Is this right and does it take longer to arrive as he not got back to me and I asked him the same

nahh nothing yet, and its national day from 1-5 october could add another 5 days or so too the wait... seriously PEEVED!!!!!!

cant even focus on anything in my biz because of this. This is effecting me big time.

Guys, you don't realise how many people around the world follow this thread to get any news about this situation. I have got 5 packages on the way...stuck in HK.

My supplier told me that everything will be back normal within this week(I hope so :hail: )

My package from 12th just got picked by DHL exactly as my supplier predicted.

Packages send around the time of customs closure got stuck but they are moving. Slowly, but moving.

Chinese holidays are around the corner and I'm predicting that after that everything will be back to normal.

If you can, avoid HK customs for the time being.

I do not think it has anything to do with the time of sending all packages after that are delayed too.. mine is stuck on 20th.

There is just a few of us but some reported that packages send later went though fine but almost everybody got stuck when their package was send earlier.
Could be a case of bad luck with your package.

My supplier today sent a package via dhl China from shenzhen and it's already been picked up, yet my other 2 parcels sent via Hong Kong are still saying shipment information recieved since the 13th.

Thank god for that. mine as been picked up hope all yours start moving now also mine was posted 13th if everthing running ok with dhl mine should be in the air by 9.30pm uk time fingers crossed. :clap:

My one parcel is picked up just now. Other one still saying shipment information received. Both were sent on 15 sept. :)

I had a package shipped out on Monday and it left Hong Kong yesterday and just got a custom status update in NYC

Wow just came accross this forum while searching google about the dhl delays, my supplier had told he about this weeks ago when my first parcel was posted (13th still no update on any parcels shipping info received) he told me about the counterfeit money, and then now the battery issue, I was abit sceptical but hes trusted supplier i hold in very high reguard. I dont know if coming accoss this thread makes me feel better about, this situation is effecting me big time, no stock and all money tied up in parcels in hongkong customs, :(

My supplier re shipped mine on the 21st still shows info received and not being picked up, but this sometimes does take a few days.. My original ones from the 16th still show no info and probably won't change. I had him send half of it through USPS, which only took 4 days surprisingly(I remmeber this taking A LOT longer in the past) and I have already received those thankfully.

I too have up to 8 packages stuck somewhere in HK. Orders were placed on the 11th. Now I’m about to run out of stock, and probably out of business as well. God knows when this issue will be resolved.

I have been told by a reliable source that the situation in China has been cleared up and packages are moving again, although some that were shipped during the time the issue came up (around the 15th) may still be delayed.

Im checking this forum because i also have problems with my packages, but if somebody would like to know, my seller, honest and trusted seller told me that delayes packages from 12.09-18.09 passed the Chineese/HK boarder and waiting to scan and handle by DHL, but probably there is so so many packages that this also could take some time.

I don't think it's just DHL. I had a dress shipped from Shanghai EMS on the 18th and it's still stuck on Origin Post is Preparing Shipment.

Packages from 14th picked up, started moving from yesterday!Monday delivery estimated!so guess is 15/16th are moving today onwards.

My ems shipment has stopped tracking too. Last was 2 days ago. Normally take 5-7 days it's been 5 so far and not even left yet

Risky for my bussines, if i dont get packages fast my shop will be clauses and i will have to refund money to everybody.

Today i order new package, but this time my suplier will use European company DPD they told that i can receive package in one week. Lets try..

Just had word from my supplier and he has some shipments moving from the 18th now via DHL. So things are moving albeit slowly.

I've got 6 packages dating from the 15-25th all still waiting to pass through.. I've been told it should change over the weekend.. Trusted supplier so lets see...

I envy you guys getting updates on dhl parcels, still waiting on parcels to be picked up, (10-13th sept) 3 differeant shipping agents have returned parcels to my supplier because of the battery issue, mostly watches, one parcel batteries werent declared, parcel was inspected and return, ems if also refusing to sent battery goods, we are now going to leave till after the holiday, something am not keen but as everyone knows in china as bad as it is atm it cant go on like this for much longer, and as we know the Chinese they will find ways round everything, i just hope i can ride it out before i go out of bussiness and lose all customers to my completion :(

My package sent 13 or 14.09 was just right now scaned by DHL HK.

I write here the answer of my Chinese supplier about my question on shipments of 12 September still in "Shipment information received":

"Hi friend,
because national day is coming, custom is serious strict these days.
DHL meet problems to custom clearance and it pause more than a week.
At first DHL office tell me it will recover on 18th, but they changed to Monday, however Wednesday.
But they informed me yesterday that the DHL packages can't cross.
Then my shipping worker asks back packages and will change to EMS.
Sorry for any inconvenience that we may cause.
Hope your understanding."
