I've been told by my supplier our there the customs agents wont be taking the holiday from Oct 1st - Oct 7th..

I can't comment on this as such as mine haven't moved but a lot of others have scans on their DHL parcels so this sounds to me like an excuse...

DHL cant cross? eh... a lot of other people seem to be getting shipments and a few are not what the hell is really going on??!?

All this is so confusing. People are getting told different things!

Maybe there's a lot of packages stuck in transit because of the delay & some have been picked up & they're yet to go through all the other packages that are still stuck & that's why some are getting movement & some aren't? :noidea:

Just a thought, but either way this is getting really frustrating. Not to mention the Chinese holidays that are coming up so that will consist of even more waiting & not knowing if the delays carry on much longer! :tears:

I've had three parcels sent with DHL - from Sep 10, Sep 19 and last one from Sep 26. First two stuck on Shipment Information Received from then. But the third one, picked up September 23, went through Hong Kong clearance Sep 24 and in few hours sent to Europe. Sep 24 it was already in Prague.
When I asked my seller he wrote me this:
"Sorry as China custom have found lots of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ money recently, this is quite serious and they are highly attention to this, so they are holding every package for checking one by one which cause this delay. Our express company Fedex, DHL, UPS even stop to collecting packages in this two days since all of them get fullware house.
We are pushing our express copmany everyday, will try our best to ship your package out as soon as we can, we will email you once shipping info is available, please kindly wait for some more time.
Please accept our sincerely appologize for all inconvenience caused."
I am totally dependent on these goods and no batteries, only low value craft supplies :mad2:

As I wrote before, my supplier has taken back the parcels by DHL customs, and he has just sent them by EMS this time. He sent me codes and packages are already parties finally from Guangzhou.

EMS is not the solution. Same problem as DHL have.
The main problem is Custom. More than 300 officials workers are under investigation because find ilegally goods, like 2 tons. (yes 2000KG) of money notes going to be send by DHL and start the explosion...
I live in China, and 90% asure, will not be news before october 6th.
At least, till that day all parcel sent, is in a big risk to be stucked.
I am also involved in it, and can say direct from firt mouth.

If have battery, the agents even dont receive the goods now.
UPS stop receiving items with battery last week too.
They and TNT was the onlyones sending till that moment.

How can the battery be the problem when people are still having there items with battery shipped?

Also why would they not send batteries goods? I believe your country is one of the main suppliers of these kinds of products? This will damage your economy if this is the case, why would they do that? It just does not make sense.

Yes, you are right. I am not chinese, but this is my work. Send goods to other countries. This is a puntual problem, and will be solved soon.
Not mean will never can send. Just because following some regulations of this days, is not possible send.
On 14th, i sent laptop battery to Spain by UPS, and today is arriving.
On 15th try send walkies (with battery) and this day, already the agent say no way.
Now, I am waiting the new chance.

So there must be some other issues with your parcel, i doubt they are going to stop every shipment. I mean come on think about it dude... it's China's economy we are talking about here if they did that the whole world would be out of products and also China will suffer lmao

None of my 8 packages from Sep 11 show any movement (DHL). However i placed an another order the 22nd and my supplier shipped with UPS. The package just arrived to KY and will be delivered by Monday. Any Clue guys? :noidea:

After receiving my parcel stuck from the 18th yesterday, My parcel stuck from the 10th has just changed to departed Hong Kong, both contain batteries so don't know what all the fuss about batteries is about. At least the ones from early on are now moving hope everyone else gets good news this weekend also

Guess I'm very lucky I had my stuff shipped out tuesday passed HK customs and today it's on the truck on the way delivering to my address.

My package from the 13th has been stuck in clearance event for about 2 weeks now. I was hoping it would be mailed out today since others were getting good news but it only went through another clearance event today.

I know it's only 4 days but mine is still stuck out there. Via EMS when normally its here in 5 days.

Never had this sort of delay before.

..pretty crazy all that, glad that I found this thread and glad that I have no business running with stuff from China, sorry for all you guys...

got one package in Hong Kong from 15th, not moving but two days ago dated 25th (shipment information received)
and one in Shenzhen from real 25th which is as well on shipment information received but which has a clearence event and an estimated delivery date for tuesday 30th by end of the day?!?! who is believing that...?!

I do not understand that DHL (and/or maybe others like EMS) are not giving an official statement because of the situation they must be getting tons of mails.

Does not seem to be a battery problem either...I hope they do not send my two phones without batteries ;)
And why should national day(s) effect checking from customs, very strange all this.

so last news...package from 15th "processed at Hong Kong - signed up for shipment notifications" should arrive on monday.
package from 27th "customs status updated - signed up for shipment notifications" still should arrive on tuesday
...it is not hopeless....

I know this delay seems harsh, but what is harsher is when you see on DHL tracking "Customs Clearance Event"

This means that if you have branded goods coming in, then you may not be getting them after your goodies are searched. Be happy that your shipper has taken precautions to make sure you still get your goods, even though they may be very very late arriving.

All I've been getting is a clearance event. My seller is telling me to just wait another week but I'm afraid it will never update past clearance event.

yeah, thats not good. but with all the packages in this circumstance, it may just be held up. did you click on the clearance event to see if it gave you any more info? Btw, is it still in china or is it in the US?

Mine is also from 13th with DHL and still "Shipment information received". What's on your parcel? Mine is a mobile phone. Another one is shipped by Singapore post on 23rd and now transporting.

It's still in China. It says that the Shipment is pending Completion of customs inspection. It didn't say that when it was in clearance event before so I'm guessing that's not a good sign.

I ordered some hair extensions so I would think it be shipped by now. Mine hasn't updated to shipment info received though :tears:

I called local DHL and they told me that "shipment information received" means that seller only made a label but package didn't get to them yet. They (DHL) can proceed item to customs once they have the parcel. That's why I already got one from 24.9. and two of them from 10. and 19. never passed the "shipment information received" status. Many sellers never go to DHL personally, they have dealers to do that for them. And it seems they never brought these pieces to DHL facility.

As of today all of my parcels are moving. I have my fingers crossed that everybody else will have theirs soon.

What date was your parcels shipped? Mine was on the 17th. Still stuck on shipment info received. Hope there's some movement soon. My supplier said wait 1-2 more days but its getting so frustrating!

As I promise, i have news.
My parcels of 17 and 18 are still with Shipment information received.
A parcel of 23, already arrive HK and prosseced.
Monday will arrive USA

Why are the ones from 17-18th still stuck then but the one from the 23rd isn't? I don't get it.

I gues is because that parcel are still so deep inside warehouse, and still dont arrive to catch it.
