Default Power Seller & Top Rated - SUSPENDED...HELP!

My whole world is crumbling apart. I have been selling on ebay for 11 years. I am a Top Rated Power Seller with nearly 9000 positive feedback. My ebay account has been suspended for Direct Debit Reject - we hit a financial snag when my husband lost his job in January.

We had returned payments on ebay fees from our bank a few times. I was reinstated in January after a quick suspension for these rejections (like a 10 minute suspension). My account is current. Yesterday, I was suspended again because another debit payment I made since that time was rejected. Even though I have since covered it and am not behind on ebay fees, ebay states that they will only reinstate accounts once in a two-year period for Direct Debit Reject MC999.

I spent over an hour on the phone with them yesterday and have sent 4 e-mails. Do you think they'll work with me? I have nearly 2000 items in my store. Do I have to start over? I'm a stay at home Mom with 3 little ones at home. Ebay is our sole source of income right now.

My husband is not working - we need ebay to buy food, gas, pay bills, I am so desperate right now. Any insight would be so helpful.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Calm down streesedone, I feel your anxiety. Do try your best with them and see where that would lead.
I take it that this account is legit with your real data! so, it should be easy to send docs if required.
I would advice you to start having stealth accounts on the side if you know how just to keep you going until this one is fixed

Welcome to the forum & best of luck

You are in a tough situation but as vany said: call ebay again and this time talk to a manager and tell them you are a top rated powerseller and that you made the payment everytime.

If that does not work then you will need to get a stealth account. Easiest way would be to buy one from the many sellers here.

For right now you need income fast so talk to local stores about buying your stuff in wholesale amounts.

Find another ebay seller in your area and partner with them.

If you have repeat buyers then send them a list of all your items through email and give them a discounted price so they start buying.

If all else fails go there and make an appointment with a manager in person.

Its going to costs some money but if its that valuable of an account and means that much to your family then what can it hurt?

Welcome to the forums. While I feel your pain, reading this quote of yours:

is very worrisome. Did you speak to just a regular agent? Or someone higher up on the Power Seller support line. I cant say anything 100% - since eB can be quite scumbag-type but I hope it will work out for you.

Sorry about this.

You need to get a few accounts up and running quickly.

There is always a way so think positive about your situation and find ways to bring in money until he can find a job.

If you have that much in stock then you need to think of other streams of selling those items such as Amazon and Craiglist.

You need the cash flow so think outside of ebay for now.

I would call them again and beg them. Tell them your DH is laid off and you are sorry for this happening and need your account. Tell them how well your account has done and brag about your numbers etc.

You might get lucky and get someone who will understand.

Get working on new accounts or buy one from one of the sellers here.

Good luck.

Im very sorry to hear that you are going through tough times.

I would talk to local auctioners and stores in your area to see if you can get close to your asking price for the things you were selling on ebay.

Also list the items your were selling on ebay on craigslist.com and backpage.com since its free.

While your on craigslist.com and backpage.com I would have your husband look there for work under the jobs catagory and do some oddjobs if you have to to generate some money.

As far as getting your account unsuspended I would do what everyone else here is saying. Call them tell them your situation telling them about how your a top rated long time seller with high feedback and apologize sincerely and if you have to start lightly crying and hopefully you wont get some one evil for once on the other side of the phone.

If that dont work buy a selling account from the trusting seller's here and buy the Stealth Book when you can.

Best wishes and I hope for the best for you .

Hang in there. Most of us have been in the exact same situation. I would get some stock and dump it locally on Craigslist to make a quick buck to pay for your immediate needs and let other things slack. Most utilities you can talk them into dragging your outstanding balance over the next 12 months with no problems.

For a Mortgage, contact the loan specialist at your local branch and talk to them in person. There are several ways to delay a mortgage for up to 60 days (some cases)making interest only payments to keep from foreclosure. They dont want your home so several banks at the moment will absolutely work with you to a limit of course. You have to show them you will be able to handle the payments though in the future and that you are not just postponing the inevitable.

There are tons of way to get immediate cash and assistance especially with children.

You probably dont want to hear it but if you feel you will get your accounts back up for sure. Try the pawn shop route. People that use them know they are great. People that have never even imagined going to one think its awesome when they see how easy and relativity cheap it is to get fast cash.hat that method exists.

I know it just sounds like someone telling you to just sell stuff and its all good but really, Those things can be done easily.

Good luck and sorry for the rant. I hate it that something so small to eBay can mean so much to a whole family.

Wow. I feel bad for the OP.

You need to think out of the box. Ebay is most definitely not the only source of income in this world. Maybe you can put out a local ad to babysit hence you already home with the little ones.
Opening a stealth account ,should be also priority.

Most importantly you need to calm down, because when a person is stressed, cannot think clearly.

What is a direct debit reject? What does it mean when it corresponds with eb*y?

Im still young and haven't had much experience with the real grown up life. That is why i am asking.

Direct debit reject means when your scheduled payments to pay ebay fees are due and its rejected. Ebay doesn't like this when this happens more than 1 time and so they close your account. In the ebay dashboard it says multiple rejections can lead to suspension. I think its stupid since it can happen sometimes.

Really sucks to have alot of kids 3 and not being able to get cash. Ebay really doesn't care about nobody in this world.
