AutoBlogBook Snippet – Market & Keyword Research

Posted on by Donald in How-To, Internet Marketing, Making Money Leave a comment

Since I haven’t posted in awhile I decided to post a snippet of my new eBook AutoBlogBook.

Now in this post I won’t talk about creating autoblogging so much, but instead the process of researching a niche to dive into. I added this to the beginning of AutoBlogBook because without the initial research for any website, you’re going to have a hard time breaking into a niche. Now this can be helpful to anyone about to start a new online business.

Without further ado, here are a couple pages from my new eBook on Autoblogging.

Market & Keyword Research:

First off before we dive into creating your first autoblog, we need to figure out what you want your autoblogs to promote. Now I’m not going to hold your hand in searching for the perfect niche for you. For me any niche that has plenty of affiliate offers to promote, and has decent adsense earnings is good enough. Really there isn’t a niche that is too saturated if you do proper keyword research first.

Before we do keyword research I recommend you check the health of the niche you want to promote by using Google Trends. What you should do is head over to Google Trends and type in your main niche keywords to see if the search trends are going up or down. If the search trends are up or holding steady, that means we have a solid niche to promote. If the trends are going down then you might want to select another niche to focus on.

Let me add I do my research first before creating autoblogs. I find niche ideas mostly from looking at different affiliate networks for example: Clickbank, CJ, Neverblueads, Peperjam Network, AzoogleAds etc. If there is a good offer out there, I’ll do my research and if it can be easily cracked I’ll setup a dozen or so autoblogs to test the waters. Once I see that it’s profitable I’ll continue building autoblogs for different high traffic, low competition keywords.

Once you find a niche you want to focus on, you must to do the research to find high traffic, low competition keywords. And I stress you MUST do keyword research because if don’t and you start building autoblogs blind your traffic results WILL suffer.

Think of it this way, you don’t want to build your autoblogs targeting highly saturated keywords that you’ll never get traffic for when there are plenty of low competition keywords with just as much traffic, but are much easier to rank for.

Okay, enough talk.

Let’s do some keyword research.

Keyword Research:

Generally I tend to focus on keywords that have more than 1000 searches per month, and have less than 50,000 search results in Google doing an exact keyword search.

An easy way to find solid keywords for your niche is to go to Google’s Keyword Tool, and do a search for your main niche keyword.

The keyword tool will generate new keyword ideas.

Once your search is complete, you’ll see a list of related terms.

I like to add the column ‘Show Search Volume Trends’ when doing my searches.

Also make sure to switch from Broad match type to Exact Match Type.

You’ll want keywords with at least 1000 searches per month under Exact Match.

Once you select a few keywords, go to Google and do a search on the competition. What you need to do is an exact keyword search and look for total search results. An exact keyword search in Google is your keyword in quotes, for example “keyword”.

Basically you want keywords that have less then 50k search results. The fewer search results there are, the easier it will be to rank on the first page of Google for that term.

So are you getting the idea now? You want keywords with high traffic and low competition!

Now this can be a tedious task, but you know what? It’s free and works.

If you want a faster and easier way of finding high traffic, low competition keywords then I highly recommend using Micro Niche Finder. It’s the best keyword research tool I’ve used. It does exactly what we need it to do but it goes a step further in analyzing the competition to determine their keyword strength. Actually it does that and a lot more, check it out here.

It’ll save you a lot of time in your keyword research.

To learn about creating Autoblogs from A to Z be sure to check out AutoBlogBook. It was written by me about a month ago and so far I’ve had nothing but positive feedback about it.

Be sure to check out!

Good luck!

Autoblog Book!

Posted on by Donald in Adventure Leave a comment

How goes it?

Yes, I haven’t blogged in awhile. No excuses, I know.

I haven’t been entirely lazy though; I just finished writing a new eBook called Autoblog Book!

I have been Autoblogging for several years now. It’s how I make about 50% of my income these days. I decided a couple months back that if I wanted to keep up with the times and create bigger and better Autoblogs I needed to write a guide on the subject. I find when I write about something, I learn new things I never would have learned otherwise.

I wrote another eBook about 3 months earlier called Webmaster Blueprint.

Before writing Webmaster Blueprint, I felt I knew it all about creating an online businesses. Sadly I was wrong, and in the process I learned new ways in keyword research, advertising, SEO, etc I never knew before. Its fun learning new things.

I plan on breaking Webmaster Blueprint into two parts, one on starting an online business and the second part on promoting it! Right now it’s just one large eBook packed with starting and promoting an online business, which is great, but an update is needed.

Anyway, Autoblog Book is a great book. I’m a huge critic of myself, and usually don’t like anything I do. Well with Autoblog Book, I’m actually very excited about it and so are my critics.

Here Are A Few Reviews I Got Back So Far!

I am an autoblogger. I’ve purchased WP Mass Installer, Caffeinated Content and Caffeinated World.

I’ve have over a thousand autoblogs. I’ve seen and used many ebooks, systems, software and theories.

This is by far the best book on Auto Blogging I’ve read. This manual details out exactly what you will need, how to use it and why. I consider myself and Intermediate/Advanced autoblogger. There are a few tips and tricks that I didn’t know. I will be using it to rework and upgrade my blogs definitely.

He also explains things not to do in the auto blogging world.

If you’re serious about making money online. For $37 its the only guide you will need on autoblogging.

– Rating: 9/10 MelfromBoD

This is a 38-paged autoblogging report. I won’t really call it a book, rather a report. Regardless, the wealth of information is priceless. The entire report is a no-fluff approach to auto-blogging. It covers EVERY aspect of autoblogging. From keyword research to the final promotion. Nothing has been left out. And the initial tactics discussed could easily be applied to your other non-autoblog sites.

There’s a horde of links to plugin sites, themes, optimum settings, etc for your wordpress. Everything has been discussed in detail, yet it does not get boring or prolonged.

In short, a great guide for everyone. If you’re in the autoblogging market, get it.

– lifetalk

There is no stone left unturned here and for the price, it is a steal. I have read $97 products with not even a fraction of the information provided here. THIS is what I would have expected of a $97 main ebook product. The tips and information are great! He tells you how to keyword research (not just tell you to do it, but how), where to host, how many blogs to host on an ip, what types of domains work best, what plugins to use, where to find themes, and so much more in such a small package. I’m surprised at how much information he was able to stuff in there!

I am an info freak and have read a lot of information online as is, and this is what the autoblogging wiki should look like. Literally. This guy had to put a lot of time into doing this so I think $37 is a real steal.

– 10/10 without a doubt. Jen Peoples

I just got Autoblog Book on Clickbank, so you affiliate marketers out there, you have something new to promote!

I’m still working on a logo, eBook cover and other graphics but it’s coming along.

My next update I think will be on eBay Stealth.

A few things have changed in the eBay world and you guys have been requesting an update, so that’s the next project.

Don’t get mad if I blog once a week until eBay Stealth 3.0 is out.

Check out Autoblog Book, and you affiliates get to work.

Thanks guys!

Content: Type of Content, Usage and Results!

Posted on by Donald in Internet Marketing, Intresting Stuff Leave a comment

This post is for the autobloggers out there…

Content: Type of Content, Usage and Results!

100% Original Content (You either write it yourself or someone else writes it for you. This content original with no duplicates found online, it’s keyword researched, ranks easily with a couple backlinks, and will bring you traffic depending on how saturated your niche is. This is the best type of content to have, but takes the most work to get.)

Hand Rewritten Content (This content is from an article you rewrite or you have someone else rewrite. It’s keyword researched, and unique to Google. This is similar to original content, but tad bits here and there maybe duplicate to Google, which is okay, nothing wrong with that. Hand rewritten content is usually just as good as original content as long as you have a few backlinks pointing to it.)

Plugin Rewritten Content (Plugins or software rewrites this content, depending on the software you use, it is most likely poorly rewritten, but passes Google’s duplicate content filter.. some what… Your users won’t like the content, but if you serve them up something else, like a nice video, or targeted ads with your content they’ll be okay with it. The better your tweak your rewrite plugin the better your content will be and the more traffic you’ll receive.)

Duplicate Content Unwritten (Either feed based or PLR articles, you’ll have to compete with other websites to rank for the same content. You won’t be penalized, Google doesn’t penalize for duplicate content they’ll just force your website to compete with other websites using the same content. Whoever has the most backlinks and better SEO wins and will be displayed in Google search results, the website(s) that do not have enough SEO juice will show up in supplemental results and will not receive very much or any traffic for the related content.)

Content without proper SEO is hard to rank for regardless of the type of content it is, especially if you do not do any niche or keyword research beforehand. Duplicate content can rank well depending on how your SEO is; you will not get penalized for the most part, unless your blog is clearly a spam blog. You want to create useful autoblogs full of useful information not only for your visitors but to keep your website from being labeled as a spam blog.

Pros and Cons of duplicate Content…

  • Google doesn’t give penalties to websites that have duplicate content; they just won’t rank the content as unique and will force the content to compete with other duplicate content for position.
  • Easy to get duplicate content…

  • It’s harder to rank in search engines with your duplicate content without solid backlinking.
  • If your website adds no value, and is later reviewed by Google, it can be deindexed as a spam blog, but this rarely happens unless you are clearly spamming Google.

Pros and Cons of Unique Content…

  • Google loves unique content. Depending on the content, you can rank easier for researched keywords.

  • It takes effort or money to acquire unique content.
  • It takes more effort in building autoblogs with unique content.

Pros and Cons of Rewritten Content…

  • Can be automated with rewrite plugins. Or you can do it yourself, or pay someone to do it for you.
  • Plugins can be tweaked for better results.
  • If rewritten properly, said content is just as good as original content.

  • Rewrite plugins sometimes leave unreadable content, which isn’t good for visitors or your Google results.
  • If reviewed your blog could be considered a spam blog and deindexed if content is poorly rewritten.

For those interested, this is a snippet from my new autoblogging eBook I’m working on. Hopefully it should be out in a couple weeks. I’ll post more details when I can.

9 Tips to Writing Effective Google Adwords Ads

Posted on by Donald in Google, Internet Marketing 2 Comments

9 Tips to Writing Effective Google Adwords Ads
The better you follow these ad writing tips, the more successful your ad campaigns will be.

1. Keywords, Keywords, Keywords
It’s very important for your click through rate that you include your main keywords in your headline, description text and display URL if you can. Google will highlight searched keywords in your ad, which will help draw attention to it. The more clicks you receive, the higher your click through rate and the lower your cost per click.

2. Sell the Benefits
Include one or more major benefits in your ad. For example, fast shipping, lowest price, instant delivery if you’re selling digital items, etc.

3. Include Attention Grabbing Words
Start your headline with attention grabbing words. For example, Fast:, New:, Sale:, Free:, etc. Keep within Google’s editorial guidelines.

Here is a list of power words I recommend using, Power Words List.

4. Link to Your Products Page
If an ad is for a specific product or service, create a landing page for that ad. Include relevant and useful information to convert the customer. Generally, a well designed landing page will almost always convert more visitors than if you simply sent visitors to your home page.

In other words, link directly to your products page. For our example with Green Widgets, we would link to for maximum conversions.

5. Remove Common Words in Your Ad
Common words, such as “a, an, in, on, it, of,” etc. Remove every word that does not absolutely need to be in the ad. Make every word count.

6. Deter Freebie Hunters
Deter freebie hunters by including the price of the product or service at the end of the ad. This will improve your overall conversion ratio and lower your average customer acquisition cost.

This may reduce your click through ratio, but that’s OK. After all, you’re not trying to target everybody, only potential customers. In most cases, freebie hunters will never become paying customers.

7. Include a Call to Action
A clear call to action is especially important if your goal is to maximize your return on investment. Offering the user some guidance on what to do once they reach your site — such as ‘Buy Flowers for Mom!’ — may improve your campaign’s performance. The call to action should reflect the action that you consider a conversion, whether it’s a sign-up, a request for more information, or an actual sale.

8. Do not Copy the Competition, Stand Out!

I hear it all the time. You decide one day that since you competition is promoting a product a certain way; they must be doing something right, let’s copy them! I think this is the wrong approach. Instead of copying your competition, you can take a few ideas from them, but trust me when I say this, it doesn’t help your click through rate having your ad look exactly like everyone else’s. Stand out and you’ll have better results.

9. Your Display URL is part of your Ad Copy

You can put absolutely anything in your display URL, provided that the domain matches with the domain of the destination URL. No matter what your domain name is, you can include your primary keyword with a trailing slash in your display URL to ‘assure’ the searcher that they will indeed go to the right page. For instance if a searcher is looking for a white iPhone, which ad below would be more compelling?

That’s about it for creating solid Google Adword Ads. I hope this helps in your PPC ventures. If you need futhur help with PPC Advertising, SEO, Email Marketing, Direct Advertising, etc check out Webmaster Blueprint, and new eBook I wrote up on creating and marketing an online business.

Aspkin’s Blog Update

Posted on by Donald in Random Leave a comment

Well, even though I try I cannot seem to post as often as I wish.

Sometimes I work on a post and then never publish it because it’s still in a draft form. I have about a dozen draft post I haven’t completed yet.. bah!

Oh well, I’ll get to them eventually I guess.

By the way over the weekend I did a little update with the blog. It’s the same design but I added a few things here and there that I’m working with my other blogs.

An update..

I’ll post again later,

A Summer Slowdown or a Seasonal Switch?

Posted on by Donald in Intresting Stuff Leave a comment

Many people understand during the summer months there tends to be a slowdown in sales, but they don’t understand why. From my understanding it’s not so much a slowdown sort to speak, but a switch in demand from indoor products to outdoor products.

During the summer month’s people tend to be outside more often than in the winter months, and so they do more outside activities. A lot of people tend to go on vacation for example, or pursue more outdoors hobbies. The fishing industry as well as the camping industry has their busiest time in the summer months. Many other retailers by contrast, such as DVD rental or toy manufacturers have their slowest period then.

There are some industries that constantly have steady sales all year long. For example clothes manufacturers that sell both summer and winter ranges, or stores that sell essential products such as bread and milk, or newspapers. The sale of these products isn’t affected at all by the weather or seasons, because hot or cold, they are still needed by most people.

suncartoonSo in fact it really isn’t the case that businesses in general tend to slow down in the spring and summer months. The reality is that there are just different types of businesses and different retail sectors that are going through their own busy times. This shows us that to an extent many products are more seasonal than they might appear to be. Most people when asked to name a seasonal product would say ice cream. Obviously more is eaten in the summer then the winter. But it seems to be that all non essential retail products are seasonal to some extent.

So what can you do about it?

Like I say all the time being diversified keeps you going. I like to sell a mix of must have products and entertainment products. I find my entertainment products tend to sell better during the summer months and educational products do better in the winter months. If you’re struggling this summer, think about what you’re selling and how much of a demand it really is these days. Just know diversification is the key to success in anything you do.

If you’re having trouble finding the perfect product to promote this summer, I recommend using Google Trends. With Google Trends, you can compare the world’s interest in your favorite topics. Enter up to five topics and see how often they’ve been searched on Google over time. Google Trends also shows how frequently your topics have appeared in Google News stories, and in which geographic regions people have searched for them most.

For example here is a trend search for Nike Shoes..

As you can see Nike shoes search tends to peak around August, obviously for the new school year. And again around Christmas for gift giving. That’s when you’ll see the most sales for Nike shoes.

Okay now we look at fishing equipment. As you can seed during the summer months is when fish equipment is more popular, but during the winter months it’s pretty much an afterthought.

Give Google Trends a try and see how you’ll do this summer.

Good luck everyone!

I Like the Challenge That Comes Before Money!

Posted on by Donald in Making Money Leave a comment

My favorite topic isn’t Money! It’s different ways of making money!

People tell me all the time and now more often since I started messing around with stock trading that my favorite topic is money! I’ve had people specifically tell me it’s my favorite topic, and it’s all I talk about.

Come on!

I just find it awesome that in our day and age that there are so many opportunities to make serious amounts of money its crazy! A person can invest in today’s stock market and a couple years from now easily double, triple or quadruple their investment. I could have doubled my money at least four times in the past couple months.

Now I’m not saying it’s easy, it actually takes work to make good money in general! But if a person is motivated and works hard enough there are so many opportunities out there to take advantage.

Like what?

Okay, for one there is the stock market like I just mentioned. I’m not saying it’s the bottom but do the research people, this is the best time to invest and if you hold long for a couple years you could easily have a good return on your investment. Now some say it’s best to invest long term, but in this market ‘day trading’ is ruling right now. I buy on the dips and sell on the peaks. I average down if I need to and hold for a couple weeks then sell my positions on good gains. I haven’t mastered day trading yet, but I’m a patterns person, I find patterns easily and I’m sure after a few more months of trading I’ll become a pro. *happy face

If you’re interested in investing I recommend TD Ameritrade; seriously it’s the best I’ve used and very user friendly.

Okay what else?

I’m not going to mention eBay, because we all know how difficult they are.

If you already have a product to sell, which I’m sure most of the readers of this blog have, then start selling it in different places. If you’re just on eBay, expand to your own website and start promoting long term growth in that way.

That’s a huge topic on its own and it’s what my latest eBook is on, but I’ll promote that later on. : )

Okay, there’s another example.

If you’re an expert on something and there are people in need then write a short eBook on it. The main thing is to answer a question. Like with eBay Stealth, there are huge amounts of suspended eBay members who don’t know what to do after eBay kills their business, they want to get back to selling and I show them how in an easy step by step guide.

If you can answer a question a lot of people are asking, then there you go, write about it.

What else?

You have to provide something a person needs. If you develop a product and it solves a problem for a large niche group then you’ll have success and make money. I buy hundred dollar programs it seems once a week from different programmers. I pay people for their services all the time.

When I need articles for marketing I go to the DP forum and pay people $5 per 500 word articles. I paid this guy the other day $150 for a large order of articles I needed. He was happy I’m sure.

If you don’t care, there are some interesting threads on e-whoring in the Black Hat World forum. They’re not only humorous but educational as well. Here they are:

And no I haven’t tried e-whoring, I’m only showing it to you to point out how creative some people have become to make money online. This is pretty easy for the average person to pull off actually. I would recommend my brother or sister to do something like this, e-whoring that is, LOL…

Okay, what else can make you money online?

If you have a website with traffic you can promote different affiliate programs. Now I say a website with traffic because playing the PPC game isn’t for a novice. If you have traffic already you can find good products your visitors might go for. For example I’m promoting TD Ameritrade in this post. If someone signs up I make $50, bah. I’ll most likely get a few people to sign up initially, the good thing about affiliate marketing and having your own website is over the years I’m sure to get even more sign ups. An easy post that took 30 minutes to write, will over the years make several hundred dollars in many different ways.

If you’re brave, another solution is to setup review style squeeze pages to promote different affiliate offers. This works well for me, but then again I get a lot of my traffic for free using different traffic methods.

It’s fun.

I like a challenge and I like working hard so this making money online thing works for me.

Will it work for everyone?

I don’t know what it is. I think it takes a certain person to venture online and decide one day that nothing else matters. They’ll start a business and start making money from it. They’ll expand and diversify their income solidifying their money making abilities. Some people give up early and go back to their JOB, others don’t.

Just know there are so many ways to make money online there really isn’t an excuse not to diversify your income. The only thing holding you back is yourself.

If you want more methods to make money online, here are a couple resources I recommend.

Bah money! I like the challenge that comes before money.

Time for me to get back to work.

An Unorganized Mess

Posted on by Donald in Life, Rant Leave a comment

Have you ever had one of those days where you woke up late in the afternoon after sleeping for 12 plus hours.. it’s kind of warm inside because when you went to sleep, it was already cold so no AC was needed but when you wake up midday the sun is beating down on you?

I’m having one of those groggy days, and I’m pretty sore all over because I was working hard the day before, plus I have a headache, my contacts are irritating me more than usual and overall I feel lost wondering what to do with my life. Hehe..

irritatedIt’s one of those days where you break out the Red Bull and Vodka and watch TV trying to figure out what’s wrong.

Achy, having a headache that won’t go away, it’s hot until I discover it’s hot and turn on the AC, thunderstorms raging in the background just because and now it’s humid.. ehh!

I have a thousand things to do and I rather run away for the weekend then mess with them now.

This is the time I wish I still had my Mustang so I could tear up the highway going 100+ MPH, and just forget about everything else (probably not a good idea in this weather).

I feel unorganized really, and being unorganized really screws me up for the day.

Regardless here’s my every other day post …

Time flies I guess…

Okay, my every three day post, here you go.

Eventually I want to post everyday or at least every other day. I guess I was pretty busy the past week.

I’ll start posting more often.

Time to get organized..
